"Oh, by the way, this is my father, Ryan." Micah introduced.
"Hello, sir. I'm Angie."
"Nice to meet you and please, call me Ryan. The pack shall be back soon from their hunt. I shall go now instead of later to get a head start." And with that, Ryan rushed out the door.
"Well, it looks like you will be staying here for a while." Micah's voice was deep. Like a hero's voice...but only a little deeper. He turned his head, motioning me to sit on the couch. He sat on the left, and I-like the person I am-sat all the way to the right. I wasn't gonna trust him "just like that". He was going to have to gain it and prove to me that he is worth it. The room was quiet until Micah cleared his throat and broke the silence.
"You do know that you can sit closer to me, right?" He gave me that "really?" Look.
I just rolled my eyes at him. He was not the type I would call stupid. He was smart, mysterious, took his chances, and was kinda cute. He had a smirk plastered upon his face, until someone other than Ryan walked in and started commotion.
"Oh, and who's this Micah? One of your little girlfriends?" A boy, about the same age as Micah appeared. He was sweaty, had blonde, messy hair, brown eyes, tall, and slightly less muscular than Micah.
"Zeru, shut your goddamn mouth before I shut it for you." Micah lashed out.
Zeru laughed lightly, leaving Micah growling. I could already tell that he wasn't fond of Zeru.
"Who's she?" A girl with charcoal hair and blue eyes asked out of nowhere.
"His new playmate." Zeru responded before Micah had the chance. The girl studied me as Micah stood up from his seated position.
"She's here because she's an immortui succo. She's gonna be here for a while until Ryan gets back with an antidote." Micah explained.
"Kayla." The girl called. A short girl with sandy hair, tan skin, and sea, green eyes came rushing in.
"Yes, Luna?" Replied Kayla.
"Show this young lady to her room. She will be staying with us for a while." As Luna said those words, she had a discusted face on. It's like she hated me for no reason. I just got here and already she's judging me. What is wrong with her?
Kayla came over to where I was sitting. Micah nodded, confirming that it was ok to follow Kayla to my so called room. She led me up the wooden stairs and through a short hallway to a room with a white door. She opened it and I was surprised to see what I had. This is how werewolves live?! They have everything. A fire place, a fluffy bed, a tv, night stand, a desk, a lamp, and a chair all in their bedroom! And I thought the vampires had it good; this proved me wrong.
"This is where you will be staying for now. Dinner is at 6:25pm, breakfast is at 9:30am, and hunting time is at noon."
"Thanks." I replied, still standing in awe like a stupid person, who has never seen an actual room before. I plopped on the bed, bouncing a little until gravity had full control. I finally fell into a deep sleep, too exhausted to care what was going to happen next.
Micah's Pov.
I stood motionless, as Kayla led Angie to her room. Zeru always gave everyone a hard time, as if he ran the place. Luna likes being the boss and being in charge. That's just how it is. I can't wait until my mom comes home. She's supposedly meeting dad at the border to help finish the journey and find the antidote. Its easier to find something when you have two noses working as a team; or at least that's what my dad says.
"So how did you find her?" Luna finally asked.
"Bumped into her while on a hunt. I found her later and realized that I could help her if she'd let me."
"Do they know she's gone?"
"I'm not sure. The last thing I saw was her sitting next to the idiot, Alex. I caught her off guard after he left, talked to her, and then boom. Here she is."
"Zeru, do a reign check at the vamps location and give a status report. We don't want them to find out, or we'll have a repeat of last time. I felt bad for that girl."
"Ok. I'm on it." Zeru walked out casually. I hope he doesn't get sidetracked like he usually does. That idiotic nit wit; he's always up to something.
