I could feel the sweat start to form upon my scared face. What, or rather who was following me? What did it want from me?
"I know you're there." I said trying to convince myself that I was going to be okay. A dark figure came slowly out from behind the giant oak. I squinted to get a better look, but the sun blinded me as if acting as a shield to protect the victim.
I finally saw the figure. It was a boy about my age, maybe a year or two older. Except he had no shirt on. His biceps and abs were exposed to the wilderness. His eyes were as dark as night. He had a tint of tan in his skin and dark chocolate hair, that swayed to the side of his face.
"H-hi." I stuttered.
The boy quickly began to walk in a different direction, leaving me behind. I was now alone. Not knowing what to do, I ran back to the mansion. I hoped someone could explain why there was someone lurking on the woods a few miles from the house.
I slammed the door as I rushed into the dark hallway and ran intovthe dining room thinking that everyone would still be there. I rushed to the library, my feet thumping onto the bricks as I ran. When I got to the large, novel filled room, I saw Alex sitting in a comfy love seat.
"There's.....Someone's......There's....."I tried to catch my breath as I tried to explain what had just happened. The seat made a noise as Alex stood up quickly and ran to my side. I felt like I was going to collapse.
"Sit down and tell me what happened." He looked deep into my eyes with a concerned face.
I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. "There is some one, out in the woods."
Alex stood up and walked across the room to the large window. He stared out the window for an amount of time before speaking. "Shit," He said under his breath. I could tell that the situation wasn't good. "I'll be right back." He said and left the room for a few moments.
Alex's Pov.
"Shit," I swore under my breath. I couldn't believe it. He was here again. He probably got the message that we got new meat. I didn't want Angie to go through what Vicky did. That pack is going to rip Angie to shreds if they find her. They will take her, attempt to transform her, and just like last time, my heart would be broken. It was my fault last time, and this time, I wasn't going to let that happen. I will protect her. I will do what ever it takes to keep them away from her.
I ran down the hallway to Victor, who was in his office doing research to find cures and what not. I approached him as he was writing, the room swelled with a burning scent that was lurking in the air from the fire place. The warmth collided with my cold flesh as I passed in front of the brick lining.
"Victor," I said with a concerned look.
"Yes, Alex, what is it?" He asked not looking up from his research. I stood quietly before his desk, staring at him and waiting for him to look up at me.
Finally, he looked at me after a few moments and I told him.
"He's back."
"That can't be. I thought they left for good after what happened last time."
"Yeah, well they're back, and Micah saw Angie-" I was cut off before I could explain the rest.
"What?! Do you remember what happened last time?! What is wrong with you?! Do you want what happened to Vicky to happen to Angie? It's because of you that they found her, you know. Now if the rest of the pack finds out, they won't stop at nothing to transform Angie too."
"Yes, but this time, I wasn't with the girl when Micah found her. Angie was alone. She said she saw someone in the forest when she ran away at breakfast. But even though someone wasn't with Angie when he saw her, doesn't mean he didnt smell her scent." I sighed, trying to think how we could get out of this mess.
He could pick up her scent from anywhere, now that he has seen her. Whenever a wherewolf sees another monster or human, they automatically know how to track them down. Its amazing, really. All us vampires can do is hear from a few miles away, compell others, (except for other vampires) and suck the life out of humans. It sucks. At least where wolves can smell and track other life forms for an infinite number of miles whenever they want. They also have the choice to kill or not. They are warmblooded, as we are coldblooded. Atleast they can keep warm when we are freezing our asses off in bitter climates. I bet being a wherewolf is way more exciting.
Angie's Pov.
I heard footsteps coming from down the hall, getting louder and louder as they reached closer. A few seconds after, Alex came through the doorway, followed by Victor. They both had concerned faces on as they approached me on a seat.
"Don't go into the forest ever again." Victor told me, his tone as serious as it comes. He wasn't joking, with those piercing eyes of his.
I nodded my head with understandment. I repeated those words inside my head. Don't go into the forest ever again, check.
