All of a sudden, Micah's arms tighten around me as his eyes start changing. He widens his mouth, revealing white fangled teeth.

"Don't be scared." He lightly growled.

I wasn't scared. I knew what he was doing. He was saving me. What I didn't know was how close or far away the vamps were.

Vicky's Pov.

"Daniel, trouble's gonna hit soon. Just got a distance call from Zeru."

"Oh great. I'll get the pack ready. It's gonna take a lot to destroy these idiotic vamps. How far are they away you think?" Daniel asked, some sarcasm in his voice.

"Oh, I'm gonna guess a good few miles or so. They'll hit us first before they get to the cave and then we'll have to warn Micah so he can keep Angie safe. That seems about right from my understanding." Vicky started to get war suits from an old chest. "Haven't used these since the last war against them which was what? A decade ago?"

"Yeah. Good thing we eone that one or we'd be wiped off the map. I just hope we have enough to beat them again."

"Don't worry Danny, we'll make it out alive. If not, we know we died heroes to save another."

Daniel sared at the old, worn down, black suits. Back then he was just a baby, the war had been going on. He remembered his mother's face before she was about to die. He ran out to her bleeding, wounded body. Her face was as frightened as ever. She told him to watch out for Angie and that she was important. Those were the last words she said before a hybrid pulled him back with the other young ones.

Tears fell down Daniel's warm checks and onto a suit. He had remembered every detail as if it happened yesterday.

The suits were made of a black fabric with a metal plare at the chest. Men and women are always required to fight. 18 years and older usually. But this war was about fighting for a member of the pack. This meant that anyone over 15 was required to fight and Vicky was determined to win.
