"I know." I said. He looked like trouble. Every step he led me away into the forest, I felt more overpowered. I knew I probably wasn't safe. What I didn't know was what was going to happen. For what seemed like miles of walking, we reached a clearing in the dense woods. There was a rock cave that led underground. I followed the steps until we came towards a door. The door's hinges creaked as he opened it. I stood motionless.

"Aren't you coming?" He asked.

"I'm a vampire. You have to invite me in." I told him like he was stupid. I thought he knew this type of stuff. Didn't he deal with vampires before?

"You're an undead vamp. The rules are different, for now anyways. Don't worry sweetheart, you won't die entering without an invitation this time."

God! I can't stand him calling me sweetheart. But it kinda cute in a way.....no! Stop Angie. Don't think like that.

I followed his instructions and entered the cave. It wasn't like the dark, cold, brick mansion where us vampires live. It was warm and cozy. There was a fireplace, spacious livingroom; this place was huge! It looked more welcoming and happy than the mansion too. A wooden stairway led upstairs to a second floor to my right. The warmth of the place filled my cold soul, or what was left of it as we moved closer to the center of the room. The aroma of burning wood filled the air with a sweet pine smell.

"Who is she?" A male's voice asked, startling Micah and I.

"She needs help. She didn't fully transform."

"And what? You expect us to help a vamp?" The man laughed sarcastically. Why wasn't I surprised.

"Well she isn't fully a vamp yet, dad. She's undead. She still has a heartbeat."

"I haven't seen this condition in centuries. I'll have to find the antidote, but it might be too late when I return. Us werewolves can only run so fast." Micah's dad said. I then realized that the what ifs were on their way. They werebinc adding my life at the worst moments, making me scared, frightened, afraid of what was yet to come.

"What if you don't come back in time?"I asked, my voice shaking.

"Then, and only then, we will have no choice but to change you. Micah will have to do it if you become too sick and I don't return in time. You will have to complete the first change; go through the pain many times, until you feel no more. That way it will be easier to change at each full moon and when you have to. I know it is a lot to take in at such short notice, but if you become a hybrid, at least you will be part alive and have a heartbeat." Micah's dad explained.

I don't know why they would ever do anything so mean to us vampires. Why would they kill us? What happened exactly 'before'? Why did what ever it was happen? There was something different going on. I felt as if the vampires had lied about what happened in the past. Do the werewolves have the same story? Or a completely different one?
