The animal tared at the chains that restrained it. Anger and wildness in its eyes as it pulled to free itself. I guess the chains werent strong enough. A large bang filled the room, then silence fell for only a few moments until the beast charged for the iron door. If this is truly Micah, why would he act this way? I asked myself. I didn't think it made sense. But I guess it was because I was new to this and I didn't fully understand.

"Micah!" I screamed, hoping it would get him-if it was truly Micah- to stop. It didn't.

Claw marks started appearing. The beast kept at it. I soon felt as if I were pray to this predator: a monster; a beast; a wherewolf; an animal with no control whatsoever. After what seemed like hours on end of clawing at the door, silence fell.

"Micah?" I asked from the iron room. I crept from a far corner to the door. I looked through the peephole to see if he had changed back into his human form. The only thing I saw was an open room. No sign of Micah anywhere. I slowly squeaked the door open and poked my head out.

"Micah? Are you alive? Dead? Hello?" I whispered. As soon as I turned my head from my right to left, my question was answered. Micah was alive alright.

I was staring, head to head with the pitch black beast. It's nose, exhaling warmth in the cold, cemented room. I knew if I screamed, I wouldn't make it. I knew if I ran or even started to, my throat would be sliced in seconds. I stared into its hazelnut eyes. Its pupils grew bigger. Almost as if it had feelings and changed. All that looked mean suddenly faded. The beast looked no longer beastly. I held up my hand to its head. Spread my fingers, and placed it ever so gently on the black fur. It was soft; not course like I had thought. I slowly took my hand off the creature's head and slowly crept back into the iron room where I was safe. I sat down in the heap of blankets I had in the cold, corner and wrapped myself up to stay warm.

This whole moment caused me to think.

I don't know what just happened. But it felt like trust.
