"What are you? Twelve?" Thor asked while laughing. I stopped for a while without turning. In a quick move I grabbed the knife from the table in front of me, turned around, and threw it. Everyone went silent... "It was just a joke, but fair enough" T...
It was Loki. I wiped my tears, as fast and subtle as I could, hoping he wouldn't notice, or had noticed they were there in the first place. I had no idea how long he had watched me, so I couldn't know. I quickly got up and tried walking past him, but he grabbed my wrist. I didn't rip myself out of his grip. I just stood there, without turning to him.
"Will you please just hear me out?" He asked calmly. I took a moment, thinking of nothing. I then turned around slowly, looking him straight in the eyes. He let go of my wrist, and I could tell he got nervous, as he looked down a little, obviously avoiding facing me.
"I don't talk to people who can't even look me in the eyes." I said in a cold tone. He sighed, and then slowly worked his gaze, up to my eyes.
"I want to... Apo... I want to Apologize," He struggled out. I knew it had taken everything in him to say that. I don't think he had ever said those words in his life, but it didn't matter. I was furious. I straightened up, and crossed my arms, heating myself up a tiny bit. I chuckled, while shaking my head a little.
"You know Loki... I couldn't give a shit about your apologies." My anger grew bigger, and I stepped closer to him, with hatred in my eyes.
"You know exactly what happened with my mom. You used the worst thing that has ever happened to me, against me. MY MOM WAS THE ONLY ONE I EVER HAD, AND I HAD TO SEE HER DIE, YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE! OF ALL FUCKING PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD, YOU SHOULD UNDERSTAND WHAT THAT FEELS LIKE!" I pushed him a little backwards, in between my sentences, but he didn't do anything about it.
"I HATE YOU!" I screamed murderously, right into his face. At this point I was punching into his chest, just repeating those words. "I FUCKING HATE YOU!" I yelled, now pressed up against him, just hammering into his chest out of anger. He grabbed my wrists, stopping my punches, and suddenly my sobbing took over. I almost couldn't breathe. He then pulled me in, and wrapped his arms around me.
He was gently stroking my hair, trying to calm me down, but I cried so hard I could hardly stand. "Shhh..." Loki shushed in a soothing way, helping me calm down. I went from sobbing, to crying to then lightly sniffling, just by being in his comfort. We had stood there like that for about three minutes when I broke the silence.
"Sorry..." I whispered, with my face pressed into his chest. He then grabbed my shoulders, and pulled me out in front of him. He leaned his head down to the level of mine, and looked me directly in the eyes.
"I'm the one who's sorry." He said, with an innocent glimpse in his eye. I then sat down at the edge again, and looked out at the city, but I wasn't alone anymore. Loki placed himself right down next to me. We both looked at the small cars moving from one place to another, and the lights changing, and moving around.
"You should know that I regretted saying... What I said, as soon as it was out... And if I hadn't regretted it then, I certainly would have ten seconds later." He said, and looked at me. I chuckled a little as I wiped a tear, looking down at the cars and then up at him.
"What you said was wrong, and there's some stuff I shouldn't have said either... I shouldn't have threatened your life Loki ." I said, now in all seriousness, still looking at him. He turned his head, and looked down at the city again.
"Don't worry about it. Not my first time being threatened with a knife." He said, laughing through the last sentence. I couldn't help but chuckle with him, even though I was truly sorry.
Even though it was a rather warm summer night, all I wanted at this point was to lay in bed under the warm duvet, wrapped in Peter's arms. The thought made me smile, and I then got up.
"I'm going back to Pe-... I mean... bed." I said and smiled at Loki, hoping he didn't hear.
"Okay... Missing your boyfriend already?" He chuckled. This isn't happening. I sighed...
"How did you find out?" I asked, with a little embarrassed face expression.
"Let's just say you need soundproof walls." He said cockily, while smiling.
"WHAT?" I yelled in disbelief. I was shocked. I did not expect that answer. Seriously. We hadn't even been that loud... Had we?
"I moved rooms the next day, so I haven't heard anything else... But yeah that night, I heard it all..." He said, laughing a little nervously. My jaw had dropped to the floor. I couldn't get a word out.
"I won't tell Tony." He then said, reassuring. I cleared my throat awkwardly, as I straightened up a little.
"Thanks Loki... And uh... Sorry I guess." I said, laughing a little to myself.
He turned back around to watch the city again. I looked at him for a second or two, and then proceeded to walk back inside. I soon reached the door to my room, where I knew Peter was sleeping peacefully. I walked in, as calmly as I could manage. I pulled off my hoodie, now with a top and sweatpants on, and laid down next to Peter. He then in his sleep, pulled me in, matching his warm body with my cold one. I kissed him on the forehead, as I was a little further up in the bed than him. I closed my eyes, with the smell of his messy hair right under my nose. I then adjusted myself a little, and hugged his head further into my body. I could feel his warm breath on my chest making me drift off slowly.
