"Au revoir Mademoiselle!" the class chorused as the bell rang indicating the end of the French period.
I went to my locker and got out my Geography and Literature books as I had those two subjects for the last two classes of the day.
I stuffed the books along with my Geography assignment due today and eagerly ran to the Room 105 in the West Wing. I was eager to meet Hayley, Anna and Frannie since I had only met them and the rest of the gang during lunch and in the morning.
In my haste to reach the Geography room, I knocked over someone.
"Oops! Sorry!" I apologized before I looked up to see who it was.
"Little hurricane you are!" A laugh accompanied the sentence and Allison straightened herself.
"Hey Allie!" I gave her a warm smile, using the nickname Adrian had used when they were in a relationship.
"Oh shut up! Has Adrian tired you out so much, that you want to set me and Adrian up?" Allison asked, teasingly.
"Ah yes, you found out my poor plan, nah! I am so sick of Adrian that I realized to give him back to you." I acted along, shaking my head sadly.
"What's this I hear about my best friend?" Mark came over to us.
"Mark, look at how ungrateful Belle is. She is trying to set Adrian and I up because she is tired of him." Allison gave him a fake frown.
"Oh my goodness! Poor Adrian! Belle, how could you do such a thing? The poor lad will die of a broken heart if he hears this!" Mark acted along with such realistic, shocked expressions that Allison and I couldn't stop our laughter at both, his words and expressions.
"Anyway guys, it was nice to bump into you but I have a class to attend to. So, see you later." I gave them a princessy curtsy, which Allison returned with one of her own and Mark returned with an over exaggerated bow.
I ran towards the Geography room and was lucky to be there before Miss. Rees.
"Hey Hayley, Anna, Frannie!" I greeted breathlessly, as I tried to catch my breath.
"Hello Belle, where've you been?" Anna asked curiously.
"Yeah, girl, you just seemed like you had run from a marathon." Frannie added.
"Did Adrian ambush you?" Hayley asked with her eyes shining.
"No, but Mark and Allison did and we were joking with each other." I grinned as Hayley perked up.
"What did Mark say?" Hayley asked, curiously.
"Look! Miss. Rees is here." I smiled slyly at Hayley's glare and Anna nad Frannie guffawed.
The Geography period went smoothly and I had Literature next. Rhea was in Literature. I sighed as I packed my bag and got out of the class.
"Are you ok?" Hayley asked, concerned.
"Yeah. it's just I have Literature next and..." I trailed off.
"Rhea would be there." Anna stated, shaking her head sadly.
"She hasn't tried anything at you, has she?" Frannie asked, worriedly.
"Ah no, she is closed off and cold and shows no emotions any more." I told them.
"Be on your guard though, Belle." Hayley warned me.
I nodded in agreement, lttle did she know that I was on my guard everytime because of Rhea. I was scared she might do something. It did seem pathetic but I would always be haunted by what she did to me on my first day in Drama.
