Hey everyone,
I know I've taken a long time and left you guys hanging. There maybe a confusion as you might see that there's a Part 2 in Chapter 47...it kinda slipped my mind to include that my former update was the Part 1 of Chapter 47. I initially didn't plan on 2 parts but then I realized I had to break it into two and that's what brought you here...heheh....sorry. These days my brain in like everywhere because I am buried with schoolwork and assignments....seriously how could the OLs be so hard?
Wel...enough of this rambling, let's get on with the story shall we, people?
---------------------------------------------------------------
I knew the date today was a surprise but it didn't stop me from prodding him (literally) for information but stubborn Adrian wouldn't give up even when I messed up his hair and made the drive annoying. Call me childish but that's what I really am- a child at heart, a teen in age.
After a 20 minute drive, the car stopped in front of this guest house like hotel which had a really romantic air around it. Adrian helped me get down from the car, not that I needed any, and we walked towards this hotel. The entrance to the hotel was through a garden pathway which had an arch which had plants hanging on from it. It was illuminated and had this aura of romance, mystery and just plain nature. Adrian wasn't in a hurry to get into the hotel and neither was I. We had a date but we were both mesmerized by the beauty of nature.
Mother Nature truly is an amazing and wonderful creation by God. Nature is a really helpful, important and a key element in our life but we fail to recognize it. We hardly ever find time to appreciate the beauty of nature because it's free and just common to us. Today, it's the day of love but does this love mean only the love between lovers? When I was single, Valentines Day was a day my friends and I would send virtual yellow roses to each other and make Valentine cards for each other with cheesy and corny pick up lines. We would hang out at times too and mostly we would scout out some place like some kind of walking park or a forest like place because we loved sitting down, leaning against tree barks, posing goofily for some photos or laughing out loud at lame jokes or whining about life in general.
I didn't realize that I had stopped walking midway, so absorbed in my thoughts.
"Belle, Belle, hey are you okay? Belle?" Adrian was shaking me, gently. From the tone of his voice, I could say he had been calling my name for sometime.
"Ah yes Adrian?" I asked somewhat blearily. I was still caught up with the memories of my past.
"Belle, are you ok?" Adrian asked, concernedly.
"Yeah, don't worry. I was just reminiscing the past." I replied back.
At this, Adrian's face fell. I quickly understood what he might have thought from my words. I didn't hesitate in quickly comforting him. "Hey Adrian, it's not about my past Valentine dates. I have never had gone to a date before and had no boyfriends either. I was just thinking about nature and how my friends and I spent the 14th in our own way, it was basically like a Friendship Day for us." I smiled as he pulled me into a hug and kissed the top of my head.
"I see, sweetie. So, let's continue yeah?" Adrian asked, with a grin.
I nodded with a grin and both of us walked to this guesthouse like hotel which was also illuminated and the atmosphere was very quiet. Not many couples were there. Just a few. There was a waiter who welcomed us.
"There's a booking under Rider." Adrian told the waiter.
"Ah yes sir, your table is over there." the waiter showed us to a corner table in the garden under an arch.
