Ch 34

Rhea had been true to her word. She saw that most of the time I was being tortured by her minions. I was being humiliated tortured, hurt just because Rhea had gone off her rocker. She would trash my locker, steal my books and made concentrating in class really impossible with spitballs. I hate gym because Rhea would steal my clothes, so these days I have taken a measure to hide my clothes with Anna's, Frannie's, Hayley's or Michelle's. There were times my friends, Allison and Adrian intervened but then the situation got worse, it was always a replay of what went between Rhea and Allison the day Allison confronted Rhea on my beverage attack/ bath. Allison and I were not friends though we were civil with each other.

"Hey there, beverage girl!" I heard a shout which was followed by lots of snickers and giggling.

I rolled my eyes, that voice I could recognize anywhere since it was the same voice that tortured me for 3 weeks now.

I turned to face High-And-Mighty Rhea Fox "What do you want?" I asked tiredly.

"Ooh, Wingley, I thought you knew what I wanted before I tell you. You've been going through this process for 3 weeks and you still can't stop acting so pompous?" Rhea asked me her eyes flashing dangerously.

I tried hard not to roll my eyes and let out a sarcastic remark. I hitched my bag higher. "Fox, just get this done and over with. After all, you always get what you want. So, tell me what is it this time?"

"Good, this girl's coming around, isn't she?" Rhea remarked to her cronies.

Her cronies looked and me and gave a bone chilling laugh "Oh yes, she certainly is coming around."

I tapped my foot impatiently.

Rhea looked over at me and smirked. "Alright, sorry about getting a bit carried away." she didn't sound apologetic at all. "Belle, you've got to do my English essay, Evy's and Helena's Math homework, Lola's English essay and Grizelle's too. So, here are the books. We need it by tomorrow. Do it!" Rhea demanded coldly.

I looked at her in shock. Do homework of 5 girls when I already had so much homework myself? The hell? "Excuse me, but did you say me to do your's, Lola's and Grizelle's English essays and Eva's and Helena's Math homework?"

"Yeah, you got it correct. Here are the books." Rhea said dumping the books on my hands. "Bye Belle. Get this done by tomorrow."

I was shocked for some time but I quickly gained my senses when Rhea and her cronies were about to walk off. "Hey, stop!"

Rhea and her cronies turned back to look at me confused. I walked up to Rhea and dumped the books on her hands.

 Rhea looked at me shocked and furious "What the hell?"

I looked at Rhea angrily. I could feel my temper rising dangerous levels. I rarely got this angry. I was quite calm and peaceful usually and whenever I get this angry, it usually isn't a good thing.

"You can ruin my locker or steal my clothes but this? THIS IS BLOODY DISHONEST! It's cheating and I never want to, wanted to and will never ever become a part of doing something so damn dishonest! If I have to choose between death and dishonesty, I would always choose death. Got it?" I snarled angrily.

By this time, we had quite an audience here. All of them gasped. Calm and collected Annabelle Wingley looking so mad and shouting at Rhea Fox, the usually shrewd cheerleader oozing with confidence who looked rather shocked.

"A-Are you joking? You HAVE to do this and I mean, YOU REALLY HAVE TO DO THIS! IT'S A MUST!" Rhea thundered.

I let out a cold, dry laugh. "Oh yeah? Good luck, finding someone to do it because I sure won't and you can't force me because whatever you try, you can't pierce through my principles." I turned and walked off. I didn't wait for any of my friends and I was so concentrated on walking quickly home, that I didn't notice footsteps following me.

I walked through the deserted forest, the short way back home when I felt a hand grab my shoulder. The force turned me around. I face a pair of brown eyes staring back at mine. I looked up at the familiar face. It was Adrian.

Suddenly, all the anger, sadness, hurt, helplessness inside me came out in form of tears as Adrian pulled me to his chest. I couldn't help but sob out all the feelings haunting me these past few weeks. I don't know how long I cried in Adrian's comforting embrace but the front of his shirt was soaked. After calming down, I pulled myself off gently.

"I am sorry." I said, feeling shy and ashamed.

"Sshh...it's alright. You went through a lot these past few weeks. I wonder how Rhea can be so awful. I want to seriously do something to Rhea for hurting you like this. You don't-" I cut off Adrian's rambling.

"Adrian, don't do anything bad to Rhea. She may be not a nice girl but still, she has her reasons. I like the fact you care for me but please don't do anything because of that. It can lead to serious trouble." I said, looking at Adrian's eyes with fear and concern in my eyes.

Adrian hesitated and then sighed when he realized I was being serious. "Alright, Belle."

"Promise me?" I asked, holding out my hand.

Adrian looked at me, sincerity showing clear in his brown orbs. "Promise."

Hello guys,

So...this is the last chapter before school starts since my school starts tomorrow. Hope you like this chapter.

Thoughts on what will happen next?

It was nice being able to update nearly everyday during holidays but after tomorrow, my updates will be once a week or less. You will have to be patient.... =) I love updating Triple Life but I've got to take care of my school work too. Unlike, most countries, schools in our country start the new school year in January. So, this is my 3rd term......*sigh* It's going to be full of work and events but must face it all, nah.
