3 years later...

"Looking at the votes casted at the last meeting, it seems that the theme for this year's prom would be..." I paused, looking over at Hayley.

"Fire and Ice!" announced Hayley and everybody started whooping.

"Now, it'll be easier to choose dresses!" A girl squealed.

"But harder for us to get our ties." A boy groaned.

"Oh, Graham...you'll look so pretty in a light pink tie." His girlfriend giggled.

All of us, girls, burst into fits of laughter whilst the boys glared at us.

"What if we get white ties? It would make you girls look like brides won't it?" Miles smirked.

"If you wanted to marry Anna sooner, you should have just said it nah." Allison teased him.

"Mother-in-law, don't be worried. I'll look after your daughter properly and am not planning to marry her at prom." Miles shot back.

Allison gave a half-hearted glare at Miles. All of us knew that it was hard to win in a teasing or debating match with the snarky, sarcastic Miles Ford.

I smothered my laughter and tried to keep a straight face so that I could get my childish committee members in order.

"Alright people, so I guess that with the amount of whooping you did all of you are  happy with the theme except for some boys like Graham and Miles?" I winked at the two mentioned and the rest of the committee laughed again when these two flushed a bright red in embarrassment.

"Madam President, we are happy with the theme." Hayley told in highly fake aristocratic tone.

I rolled my eyes at her antics, then turned towards Allison "So, since we decided the theme now it's over to Allison to inform us on what we should do."

"Okay then, so here's what we got to do...." Allison continued listing out and assigning the work to all the committee members.

After about 2 hours, the student committee meeting was adjourned. "So, let's see you all again on Friday and we can start working on the suggestions we have approved. Everyone, start doing what you are assigned from today onwards because then we'll have enough time to set some last minute stuff straight." I explained to them.

All of them agreed and one by one everyone left the room until Allison, Hayley, Miles and I were the only ones left.

"I think I get some guys from the IT club to help with the graphics and stuff and maybe Michelle or Becky can get the disco lights set up and the sets done." Miles told us.

"That's a great idea Miles. If you could get your IT club to help us, it would be awesome. We'll talk to Michelle later and see what the Drama Club can do. However, we need collective effort from nearly all the clubs in the school." I informed them in a serious tone.
