After an exciting day, I just felt so tired that I wanted nothing more than going to my cozy bed and falling asleep but I needed to check out the photos. I had a weird habit of checking out the photos in my camera at least 2 times, after an exciting event, to be satisfied with the photos. I check my photos like that because there are times I take numerous photos of the same thing to get the correct shot and I don't delete them during the outing but I do delete those numerous pictures after I come back and check the photos. Well, that's how weird I am!
I sat on my comfy couch with my camera. As I checked the photos, I could say we all were really happy during the tour. There were pics where we had goofy grins on or some awful poses that totally ruined the picture. Some were with us brightly smiling at the camera. The girls and I had taken tons of selfies. The boys weren't too interested in taking photos like the girls since they actually had the brain to enjoy all the views and stuff. I giggled and blushed at one photo Michelle had taken of me as Vosges where I was cradling hazelnut pralines and there was another one with chocolate smeared all over my mouth. I loved those pictures because though I looked totally idiotic there, it was a lasting memory of how wonderful the day was. Photos were meant to be of precious memories captured in time and those precious memories did not always mean we have to look our best. Some of the goofiest photos would bring awesome memories later in life because we could have a laugh at it when we go over it even 50 years later.
I stopped at one photo. That photo increased my heartbeat and made a giant smile appear in my face. With green, red and yellow hues of the tree leaves in the background, a picture of Adrian and me smiling at the camera, became my favourite pic. I smiled at the pic. We had taken it in the Central Park. Michelle wanted a pic of both of us because she thought we were both cute together. Her words not mine.
After going through the pictures about two times, I got off the couch and decided to go to sleep. Tomorrow was Sunday, and I could sleep in but to have a few extra hours of sleep wouldn't hurt would it?
Sunday passed by and before I knew it, it was already Monday. I groaned as I woke up to the alarm clock. I hated week day mornings with a passion.
"Why couldn't school start at about 11 a.m.?" was a thought that would cross my mind every morning since middle school.
Sleep and I were best friends but the alarm clock was my worst enemy. I didn't hate school but I do hate getting up early in the morning. Urgh! I can't wait until I get out of school, college, work and retire. At least in a few more decades, I can rest in the mornings without any hassle. It must be really strange of me to think of my retirement when I started highschool not so long ago.
"Mornin'" I mumbled, a bit sleepily at Ria and Carlo, who chuckled at my sleepy tone.
"Good morning, my little munchkin. Today, you don't look so sunny, do you?" greeted Carlo teasingly.
"Didn't you have a good sleep, yesterday, dear?" Ria asked concernedly.
I shook my head "Nah, I just feel super lazy today. I just want to stay home and sleep in."
"Hmmm....munchkin's gone bad. Nah-uh you can't do that without a valid excuse." Carlo said, grinning as I narrowed my eyes at him.
