Exhausted and tired, I made my way up the stairs to our room, Wylan right behind me. After we had helped Matthias with his surprise, Wylan made us a quick dinner. I had scoffed down the steaming spaghetti, the thick tomato sauce burning my throat. I had to yell at a few older kids for ganging up on a new member. Kaz had taken over the Crow Club and Slat again, so Wy and I were able to actually sleep and not worry about the gang. We headed into our room and Wylan plopped on the bed. I sat down next to him and pulled off my boots, then layed down. My arms were tucked under my head, while Wy was in a starfish position. I released a lion-like yawn and closed my eyes. It had been a long and busy day and even though it wasn't that late, I still went to sleep. Wylan and Jesper were fast asleep fifteen minutes later.
