Evan's POV
Angels are weird.
They have a weird lifestyle and information gets around really quickly.
A couple hours after being interviewed by Nate, which I was still skeptical about, our interview was published and out into the public. How was that possible? I thought it took days for an interview to be published. I didn't want to be around to see how everyone else reacted to it.
"Kara." I say.
Nate had just left Sam's apartment.
"We need to go."
"Where?" She asks.
"Home. On Earth."
She nods. "Yeah..." Kara walks over to Sam's closed door and lightly knocks on it. "Hey Sam? Can we talk?"
She steps backwards as the door swings open and she steps out. "Yeah, what's up?"
"Can you help us get back home?" Kara asks her. "Like Earth home."
"Yeah, I was planning on helping you guys out tomorrow but, if you want, we could go tonight."
"Yes!" I exclaim.
I wanted to stay here as little as possible. No offense to Kara but I don't like being here at all. I have this weird pulling feeling all along my skin as if this land was physically trying to get me off. I wanted to get off as much as it did.
I got my wish.
I don't even know how, but we were back on Earth within a matter of minutes. I remember going to a tall building with Kara and Sam. We sneaked into it and had to stay silent as we passed the guards and slipped down a large hallway. Then...I don't know what happened after that. It was all fuzzy.
All I know is I'm back on Earth with Kara. She belongs here with us.
I had no idea what time is here. It was dark but I couldn't tell how long it has been like this.
We seemed to have landed in the middle of the forest. "Where to now?"
"I could get a bird's eye view and try to spot the house." Kara offers.
I nod.
She extends her wings and takes off, heading straight up. I watch her fly up, the moonlight glistening off of her white wings.
After a second of hovering in the air, she swoops back down to the ground.
"Well?" I ask.
"It's not that far from here. Maybe a ten minute walk."
"Let's go!"
I couldn't wait to be back home. How long has it been since I left? It was probably only two or three days but it felt like an eternity.
After walking for only a short period of time, I see our house. A smile spreads across my face. Home.
Kara reaches for the doorknob and turns it with no resistance. Glad to know nobody cares if someone walks in the front door and murders them.
My eyes immediately land on the couch. Xavier and Thia were making out...well this is a surprise. Xavier's back was to us but I could clearly see his silver hair.
I glance over at Kara to see her eyes were wide. Neither of us had seen this coming.
I clear my throat and the two quickly pull away from each other.
"Kara! You're home!" Thia exclaims and rushes over to pull her into a hug. "We missed you so much."
Kara was still slightly in shock. "Yeah I missed you guys too."
