Evan's POV

*Kara was just taken by the angel guards*

I stared up into the sky. She was gone.

I angrily turn to Xavier. "You." I stomp towards him. "You! You let her get taken!" I yell and grab the collar of his shirt. "She's gone because of you!"

"There was nothing I could do! They were too strong!" Xavier argues.

"Then you should have...you should have used your powers! It would have at least slowed them down until we could get outside!"

Xavier just gives me a look of pity. He knew how upset I was and probably felt bad for not doing more. I let go of his collar.

"What do we do now?" I ask, looking around at everyone.

We stand in silence for a minute.

"We have to do something!" I exclaim. "We can't just sit here and expect a miracle to happen!"

"Then what do you propose, Evan? Those were guards from an angel city which means she was probably taken back to her house. There is no way for us to get into an angel city without being an angel ourselves." Thia states.

"I can get in."

All of us turn to Levi.

"I've done it before. It's really not hard at all." He states.

We stare at him in disbelief.

"How?" Ty asks Levi.

He shrugs. "Hop the main gate, sneak past a couple guards and you're in."

"I'm sure it's not that simple. If it was, everyone would have done it by now." Ty says.

"Well that's put in simple terms. I'll spare you the details but the entire process took about four-ish hours."

"But you can do it?" I interject.

Levi nods. "But we will easily be spotted if we don't have the right cover. No doubt they've increased their security since the last time I broke in."

"I might be able to help with that." Xavier states.

We turn our attention to him.

"I have a friend that owes me a favor. See, back at home, my friends and I were experimenting and we figured out how to create potions that can temporarily change how you appear to other people."

All of us gave him a confused look.

"Let me explain." He crosses his arms. "There's a sort of invisible aura around every person that identifies what kind of species they are. Only high ranking officials have the ability to detect it but it's still there none the less. Well we developed a potion that can temporarily change that aura around someone into a different species."

"No way! How did you make such a potion? Ty asks.

Xavier shrugs. "I don't really know. We were messing around with a bunch different chemicals and it kinda just happened. I can probably get a bottle for an angel aura from a friend. We would have to go visit her though."

"It's a girl?" Thia questions.

"Yeah, but don't worry, she's cool and won't sell us out."

"All right then let's go! Who knows what they're doing to Kara right now." I command.

"There's one problem." Xavier says, "I have no way to contact my friend. The only way is to go back to my home town and talk to her in person. Only one person has to come with me but I can't go alone."
