Chapter Twelve ~ Halloween Drama

I decided to go to the dance as minnie still. I had planned on going in my own car, but then I heard a knock at my door. I opened it to find Matt standing there awkwardly. "Lexi." He started. I shook my head closing the door behind me and leaning against the door. I was not ready for this at all.

"Lexi, I know I can't say it didn't mean anything, I know I can't prove myself to you, but I know I can still feel the way I did when we met." I stopped, turning to look at him.

"No. No you don't get the right to say that. You cheated on me when since the day you asked me out!! I loved yo- " I was now bauling my eyes out, and Matt cut me off by crashing his lips onto mine and pushing my softly against the door. I tried shoving him by pushing his chest, but he was to strong. I couldn't push him away. I felt his tongue pressing against my bottom lip
Begging for entrance, which I kept denying. I felt a snarp pinch in my thigh and gasped. Matt took advantage of this by shoving his tongue in my mouth. I kept hitting his chest trying to push him away, but nothing would work. I felt his hands slide down from my shoulders to my waist and thats when I started to panic, then I saw a figure out of the corner of my eye. Then all of a sudden Matt was pulled off of me.

The guy had a hood over his head so I couldn't see their face. After he pulled Matt off of me he threw Matt to the ground and started punching him, he then kicked Matt in the side. Matt got up and yelled "freak." Matt then ran home.

The figure walked up to me. I stood there shocked, and frozen as he approached me. He lifted his hand out of his pocket and brushed the hair out of my face, I looked at him trying to figure out who it was but I couldn't. I lifted my hands up to pull his hood off but he pushed my hands away and walked down the sidewalk, I then yelled "THANK YOU."

I stood there and eventually ran to my car, and called Willa to tell her everything that just happened. I looked in the car mirror, my eyeliner was a little smudged. I quickly fixed it as Willa told me she would meet me at the school. I hung up and drove to the school. Climbing out of my car I was greeted by Willa and Sarah. I walked in the school with them, then they pulled me into a private part of the gym at school.

'Lexi! that was pretty weird what you told me on the phone." Willa said to me

"no shit it was weird I replied rack."

"What the fuck are you guys talking about!." Sarah whisper yelled

"I was about to leave when Matt came up to me saying how sorry he was for cheating on me, then I was telling him that he ruined it and blah blah blah. then he cut me off by kissing me and I tried pushing him off of me many times, but he just wouldn't stop. then all of a sudden this shady looking guy walked up and pulled Matt off of me and started beating the shit out of him, after that the guy walked up to me and he moved a piece of hair out of my face and as I was about to pull his hood down he backed away and walked down the sidewalk, I yelled thank you but he never responded. and yeah."

"Why the fuck did you not tell me this when it happened?!."

"well first I was kind of shocked about what happened and second I called the first person i thought of, i know not a good reason for not calling you. i'm sorry I know i should have."

"its all good, i'm just happy your okay."

Sarah smiled and gave me a quick hug. I turned to see Chace walking towards us, he looks at me and smiles.

"Wanna dance?" I looked at Sarah and Willa and they nodded for me to go. I looked back at Chace and said yes.

We danced just as we did at the after party. It was all going well until the music stopped, we turned and saw Chloe standing on the stage... great. She was glaring at me and Chace who were standing in the middle of the crowd. "Alexis Cane is a liar!" She yelled into the microphone.

Everybody turned and looked at me and Chace, they all looked confused. Chloe then continued "You see she is trying to make you all believe that Matt was the cheater in the relationship, when really it was her. Her and Chace have been hooking up behing Matts back." She pointed at us with a disgusted look on her face. The crowd gasped and looked at us again with shocked looks on their faces. She then spoke again "Matt was the victim here, not Lexi!"

I shook my head, "No! No you know good and well that MATT was cheating on ME with YOU!" I enunciated the words that the crowd needed to hear. "Chace and I were never together and we weren't going behind anyone's back. Chace was only there when I found out that Matt was cheating on me with Chloe!"

Chloe got off the stage and the crowd cleared a way as she made her way towards me. "Listen here, I don't know who you think you are walking in here acting like you never left and try and take everything away i've worked so hard for." Chloe growled at me.

"Well to these people, I never really did leave Chloe. The reason that everyone is welcoming me back is because I have been gone so long and I was nice to them, and I still am. Something that i've noticed you need to work on." I snapped.

I dropped my voice so only she could here "Where is the Chloe i've always known?"

"She's been long gone ever since her best friend left her alone at camp... Now i'm here to take everything away you love. I will get Chace back no matter what." She hissed. She turned on her heel and left, I looked around to see that everybody was watching me.

Then Sarah and Willa came running towards the mic "Attention everyone, Chloe was just having one of her usual hissy fits." The music started up again and everyone started dancing. They walked off the stage towards me, I wasn't in the mood for dancing anymore so I told them I would drop them off at home and I would go home.

*twenty minutes later*

I was laying in my bed thinking when my phone went off, I had gotten a text from Chace

-Hey, you okay? I didn't notice that you left

-Yeah i'm fine, and sorry I didn't tell you, I had to get out of there :/

-No worries :-) and are you sure your fine you didn't look okay

-Yeah i'm sure, thanks for asking

-No problem

-Well i'm gonna head to bed now, goodnight, i'll talk to you tomorrow

-Okay, goodnight Lexi, sleep well :-)

I plugged in my phone and got under the covers and closed my eyes, I started to think. Chloe was trying to get revenge on me for something so stupid. She wants to ruin my life. She wants me to be alone and useless. I think it may be starting to work. And I drifted off to sleep.
