I love my best friend

Chapter Twenty-Three~ Kyle? Chace?

"I'm sorry, Kyle." I said for about the tenth time in the last minute. "I spent the day with Chace at the bowling alley." I heard Kyle sigh on the other side. He was a little upset that I hadn't answered when he called, but he was okay with me and Chace being best friend's. That's what I love about him.

"It's fine," he finally said and I smiled, "so who won?"

"We played so many games, I have no idea actually." I laughed out, laying back on my bed and snuggling up to my giant teddy bear Kyle got me before he left.

"How long did you stay anyways?" I heard him switch the phone from one ear to the other.

"Well, we left as soon as I got home and had fro-yo, then we went there. And I walked in the door at exactly 11... your the one going to college after this year, you tell me." The smirk must've been clear in my voice because he just laughed.

Then the laughter stopped, he'd gotten serious, "Lexi, about college... I don't know if I want to go. I mean, I can wait a year, then we can go to a college together." I giggled, he's been talking about waiting for college so I can go with him since a month after we started going out.

"No sir, your going to college. The sooner the better."

He dramatically sighed on the other end, "Oh, alriiiiight."

I couldn't help but laugh at him, "Your such a drama queen."

"That's why you love me," he joked then sighed, "I wish you could see the snow here, babe. It's way different then down there."

I sighed, "Why can't we Skype or FaceTime again?"

"Everyone else." he only had to say that, I knew what he meant. "If you can stay up until 2 or something.." he laughed out, "Then it'll work."

"No way, you know how i'am about sleep." I giggled out. My laptop binged from my desk and I looked over. I had an I.M. I got up and walked over, leaning down to see the screen right. Chace was bored. I shook my head smirking then unplugged my laptop from the charger and brought it back to my bed.

"You and sleep will be the end of me. Don't get me started on food." he joked.

"Guilty, food and sleep will win. Every time." I joked back, reading Chace's I.M.

footballking: i'm lonely. can I come over?

lexibabi: Sure you can!..... on the 23rd.

footballking: Not fair. Just not fair.

"Lexi?" I heard Kyle's voice ring in my ear, "Are you still there?"

"Oh yeah, sorry." I chuckled.

"I'll let you get your fabulous sleep." I could just see the smirk on his face.

"I love you."

"I love you more." I answered. We said our goodbyes and hung up. I plugged my phone in the charger and answered Chace.

lexibabi: Life isn't fair. Get used to it Mr. Football/Baseball all-star

footballking: Life can be fair you know, people named Lexi just make it unfair ;)

lexibabi: insert eye roll here... your such a bully

footballking:  It's my specialty, I gtg, my little sister just woke up. She's gonna be awake for awhile now.

lexibabi: Have fun with your 3 year old sis ;D

footballking: Never let me have kids... see ya.

*footballking has logged off*

I sighed looking at the time. two in the morning. Well dang, i'm behind on my sleep schedule. I put my laptop back and laid down, preparing to fall asleep, but I didn't. I couldn't. I thought back on my day and couldn't help but smile like a doof.

After a few minutes I shook it off. I can't be falling for Chace. He was perfectly fine being Best Friends, I wasn't going to ruin it. Besides, i'm perfectly happy with Kyle.

I just hope it stays that way.
