*2 months later*
"I love you," I whispered to Kyle in the middle of an airport. He was going with his parents and Amber up to to Maine to his grandparents house for the Christmas Holidays.
"I love you more," he whispered back, then I felt his warm lips press against mine. I smiled into the kiss and after a few seconds he pulled away, "I'll call you when we land, okay?"
"Okay," I smiled up at him as he rested his forehead on mine, the call to board his plane sounded out and I sighed lightly, Kyle kissed my nose, "Have fun." I laughed as he stood straight again.
"Loads." He rolled his eyes playfully and laughed. I smiled and hugged Amber goodbye. "Text me." I called after her as she made her way to board the plane.
"Totes!" she called over her shoulder. I smiled watching them board the plane. My phone vibrated in my pocket and I pulled it out.
From: Kyle
Missing you already. I wish you could come with me. I love you
I smiled down at my phone and immediately texted back,
To: Kyle
Missing you too. Have a safe flight. I love you more.
I started to put my phone in my pocket when it vibrated again. I crinkled my eyebrows and checked the text.
From: Chace
Kyle take off yet? I'm in the mood for frozen yogurt and bowling.
I shook my head and walked out to the parking garage. Before I pulled out I answered him.
To: Chace
He just took off. I'll meet you at my house.
A long, long, LONG drive later, I pulled into my driveway to see a familiar black Camaro. I smiled at the even more familiar Chace leaning against the hood. "Took ya long enough!" He joked, "I mean where'd you come from, the airport?"
"As a matter of fact I did smartass." I stuck my tongue out at him and we climbed in his car. I automatically turned on the radio, forgetting what time of the year it was. "Ew, carols!" I yelled and turned it off.
Chace laughed his adorable laugh, wait what? NO, your dating Kyle. Anyway, he laughed at my reaction then sighed, pulling out of the driveway, "So, what're we doing Christmas Eve?" Chace and I had this thing as kids that every Christmas Eve we would spend the whole day together. All day, from breakfast until dinner.
"Hmm..." I slid out of my boots, exposing my one bright pink and one blue sock. Hey, life is too short to organize socks. I pulled my knees up to my chin and pursed my lips. "We could..."
He snapped his fingers, "I could stay the night over at your place. Finally get to see what happened after we painted your room and each other." I laughed, then he continued, "And we can stay up there and watch cheesy Christmas movies all day." we shared a smirk, both of us have this thing about Christmas movies. We hate them but can't get enough of them.
"Sounds like a plan." I smiled out the window.
We sat in comfortable silence the rest of the ride to the fro-yo place. "Whatcha want?" He asked, opening his door to go in. The inside of this place smells like a really strong cleaning solution, so we always send one person inside to get the yogurt then we eat it outside, "Surprise me." I smirked and he shook his head smiling and running inside.
I zoned out, staring out the window. The sound of the door opening brought me back to life, I snapped my head over to see Chace sliding back in his seat, breathing shakily from the snow, his face was all pinched up, "I swear, that smell gets worse every time we come here. But they've got great fro-yo." I laughed and brushed some snow from his hair. "Pick one," he held two cups out to me and I looked over, finally taking the strawberry/chocolate swirl. "Awe but I wanted that one," he whined jokingly.
"You want it?" I asked and he nodded, I smirked and licked it, "Ha!"
"Pshh, like that's gonna stop me." before I could move, Chace drove his spoon into my fro-yo and got a big spoonful. "Not cool. Chace, not cool." I shook my head at him smiling. He opened his mouth to say something but I cut him off by taking a big spoonful of his and eating it. Double chocolate chunk. Nice. "I changed my mind, I wanna trade." I reached for his smirking and he pulled back.
"Nu-uh, you picked," he smirked at me and I pouted. "Fine," he finally gave in.
"Yess!" we switched then each took spoonful's. I twirled mine around a bit watching the snow fall.
When we finally finished the yogurt, Chace smirked over at me, "Best sport ever?"
"Throw the ball backwards ONE TIME..." I grumbled, smiling. "Let's go!" I cheered.
when we got to the bowling alley, it wasn't as packed like it usually was. Chace of course refused to let me pay, so while he was talking to the show girl, who was pretty much your typical nerd girl. I shook my head slightly then felt a tug on my jacket.
I looked down to see one of the girls from the group of kids smiling up at me, "Your really pretty." she said and I laughed slightly.
I was gonna say something when I felt Chace wrap an arm around my shoulders, smiling down at the little girl he spoke, "You took the words right out of my mouth. Go on back to your party. I'll be sure that the pretty lady gets to say goodbye before either of us leaves."
The girl smiled then skipped back to the group. I playfully pushed Chace off, "Gimmie my shoes, Mister." I smirked.
He handed over the shoes and we got set up. At first we started bowling, it was your average game. But as the day turned to night, we got sillier and sillier. Empty paper plated that once held pizza and Styrofoam cups that once held hot chocolate were piled on the table we were using. The girl did end up waving goodbye when she left, and soon, a bunch of teenagers started coming in.
It was my turn up to bowl when I felt arms wrap around mine and I laughed. Chace and I both held the ball and swung it between our outstretched legs then rolled it down the lane.
"Strike!" we yelled in unison, holding our hands up in the air. I checked the time. 9:00 Oops... "Chace we have to go. My curfews 11." It takes us about two hours to get anywhere like this, we live in a pretty spread out neighborhood.
Chace nodded and we speed cleaned. Within 5 minutes everything was thrown out or payed for. We sat in his car and he left for home almost immediately.
"Best day ever." I laughed as I got out of his car.
"Wait for Christmas eve and those movies!!" he called back as I ran up the driveway. I waved as he backed out and drove down the street to his home.
I walked in the door at precisely 11, with a big smile on my face and 10 missed calls from Amber and Kyle. Double oops...
