Chapter Eleven ~ He Would

*FEW WEEKS LATER*

Halloween is tomorrow and the school is having a costume party thing. Matt and I made plans to go together as Minnie and Mickey mouse. But I had one problem: I have no shoes to match my costume. I asked Matt if he wanted to go to the mall but he said he had a thing to take care of, so Chace took me. We were walking past stores look through the windows, when I saw these perfect red shoes with white polka dots. I pulled Chace inside the store to find that these were the only shoes like that and they were in my size! Yes!

After I paid for the shoes, Chace offered to go to a movie. I thought about it for a moment, then accepted. As we walked to the theatre, I heard a giggle. I looked over to see Chloe swapping spit with someone, I didn't get a good look at his fave until they pulled apart. I felt my legs go weak, I shook my head, putting a hand over my mouth to hold back a gasp. "No. No, no, no." I whispered into my hand. I couldn't believe that Chace was right and Matt was cheating on me with HER. Chace wrapped his arms around me giving me a hug , i did the same wrapping my arms around him. He pulled away and walked over to them before I could stop him "Hey Matt how's it going? Just kidding I don't care, so it looks like you finally got caught, shocker" I had quickly cleaned myself up a little and walked over beside Chace. Matt looked over at me, about to speak but I stopped him and said "We're over you asshole."

Chloe just smirked, "isn't she just the mightiest of them all?" I shook my head, getting angrier by the second. "I'm not the least bit surprised you went after my cousin, I knew you had the whore in you." I heard Chace speak up again then he walked back to me, wrapped one arm around my waist and we walked away.

"I should have listened to you, I knew I should have and I didn't. So I'm sorry, I just thought he might be the one and I liked him so much so I didn't think he would do that to me and then he did. I-" Chace cut me off by wrapping his arms around me in a hug, which I immediately returned, to be honest I liked Chace's hugs. "It's okay Lexi..." he whispered.

I slowly pulled away from him with a sigh, "Movie?" I smiled slightly as he rested his forehead on mine.

"Of course, anything for my bestfriend." He put his arm around my shoulders as he led me through the mall to the theatre.

I felt myself smile. There was something about this that made me feel happy. In all honesty I am not really sad anymore that Matt and I ended, sure at first I was but now I just might be able to be with the one I truly love. But if this hadn't happened I would never have realized that I'm okay. I'm okay with being single . I'm okay with Chace. I'm okay because I HAVE Chace here to comfort me when I need it, it may be just only as friends but I'll take it.
