I sniffled and blew my nose for what seemed like the millionth time. Chace had come over instantly and now i'm sitting curled up in his chest, with a movie playing in the background. We're sitting on my bed, leaning against the headboard. I felt his arms wrap tighter around me and I buried my face in chest, biting my lip to keep more tears from falling.
"It'll be okay Lexi..." he whispered in my hair.
I sat up, pulling away from his embrace so I can look at him fully, "I knew it was gonna happen, I knew it wouldn't work out.... but I didn't think it'd be so soon..." Chace reached up and brushed the hair out of my face. "I'm sorry I didn't listen to you." I pressed my lips together.
"I really don't think you should be the one to be sorry Lexi." he chuckled, and I couldn't help but laugh to.
"But i'am."
"It's okay." he smiled warmly at me.
I sighed, blowing my nose yet again. I was done crying for Kyle, we'd been sitting like that for a solid hour and a half. He was too good to me. "Come on," he said suddenly sliding off my bed.
"Where are we going?" I asked, wiping my eyes and standing next to him.
"Out." he smiled, taking my hand and pulling me to the ladder. He made me climb down first then he followed, he took my hand and pulled me down the stairs and out into the backyard, beyond our wooden fence is a forest with little paths. He opened the back gate and we went through, I was immediately hit with the smell of nature. I smiled slightly and we started walking.
"Thanks Chace...... I feel so much better." I smiled over at him taking his hand.
"My pleasure," he smiled back, kinda squeezing my hand. I sighed leaning my head on his arm as we walked. After a long moment of comfortable silence we came to a clearing. It was filled with wildflowers. I smiled at the sight.
"Lexi?" I heard Chace speak and I lifted my head off his arm to look up at him. "Don't let guys like Kyle and Matt get to you...."
"Trust me," I smiled up at him, "I know exactly what im doing this time."
"Really?" he actually seemed a little surprised.
"I'm staying single forever and owning a million cats." I joked.
"remind me never to visit you when we're older then..." he smirked and I slapped his arm.
"Jerk... but no, I know exactly who the right guy is this time."
"Oh?" we turned back and started walking back.
"Yep." I answered popping the 'p'. I did know who it was, but in all honesty, I don't think I could tell him.
"Who?" the dreaded question came up after a few moments. I knew he was gonna ask.
I stopped us, took a breath and breathed out, "You....."
