[Charlotte's POV]

'Thank you, Ben.' I whispered. 'I won't take longer than 10 minutes, I'm sorry to ask this of you.'

Ben shrugged. 'It's fine, I doubt you can pack when he's in here with you, so it's my duty to you as a friend to help you out.'

'You don't have to make it so poetic.' I cracked a tiny smile as I grabbed my old back pack from under the bed, it's been a long time since I carried this thing on my back, when I traveled around with Payton for the first few months, her bag and this one was all we had to carry stuff in, I guess I'll have to repack everything that was once in it before.

Ben smiled as he walked out to find Eugene whilst I ran to my drawers and picked out four plain t-shirts, I folded them the way my father taught me when I was little so that they were the smallest they could possibly be before stuffing them into the bottom of the bag, clothes were the least of my worries so I would never put them at the top of my back pack.

I grabbed two pairs of combat trousers and folded them up too and pushed them into the bottom, underwear wasn't really a luxury for me anymore so I only packed 5 pairs and hoped that we'd stop off at a few rivers to wash off sometimes.

That was all my clothes...

I went back into my drawers then and reached right to the back of my top one were I kept my lucky gun and my brothers old swiss army knife, I didn't use these at all to be honest when fighting but they made me feel lucky and reminded me of my family and to keep fighting.

I jammed the gun and knife into the front pocket of my backpack before grabbing three torches, one my own, one a spare at the back of the cupboard, and one being Ben's, he sadly didn't have a backpack like I did so he was using one of Eugene's that I found earlier today but the bag was tiny so he could only fit some clothes in and a few weapons.

I sighed as I walked to Eugene's "man drawer" where he kept all this random survival crap, thankfully when I looked through a few days ago there were some good stuff in here, I grabbed a half empty box of matches and several special reseal-able plastic bags, I also grabbed a waterproof poncho thing before carefully and skillfully placed them into the bag, make sure they took up as small amount of room as possible.

I gulped as I grabbed three of my pocket knives (While Payton and I were on our own for a few months we tended to go to all these houses in search of supplies for the first few weeks, we went to one house and found like 50 pocket knives in a bag, it was probably our best find of all) then reached into the bag of guns Payton and I found in the car we hijacked to actually get here. I shoved in a few handguns (all with the safety on obviously) and two bigger barreled guns.

I'd have my axe so I didn't really need many guns, and if I did, I have no doubt Demi and Ben would stuff their bags with all the guns they can find, they're not as experienced in the field like I am, I guess I'll have to teach them some tricks of the trade.

I grabbed the bag and quickly ran out the room and downstairs to the bottom, earlier Ben told me to hide my bag underneath the front porch so that Eugene wouldn't notice my bag when he came back later, I quietly walked out the front door and jumped over the banister, one of the wooden logs that was used as a side board for the porch was loose so was a perfect place to put the bag.

I quietly scooted the log over and pressed my bag underneath, I wasn't really surprised when I saw Demi's underneath, although she was using one she found on an outing to the town nearby us at the beginning of this week as we needed to stock up on toilet roll and things.

She managed to find a big backpack and lots of packets of batteries which is actually an awesome find.

I quickly moved the log back and ran back into the house after that and ran to my room, stripping out of my clothes and laid them on the tiny wooden chair in the corner before jumping into the bed, clutching my belly which was still not even noticeable.
