[Book 2] Chapter 21

[Payton's POV]

When I walked into the room, I wasn't exactly greeted the way I had expected, when I walked in there were a bunch of men in a circle and in the middle was Paul, bare as Adam in Eden.

As soon as I walked in, all eyes turned to me in surprise, then embarrassment.

'Everything alright in here?' I gulped as I saw a part of Paul I didn't think I should've of. 

'Everything's fine.' One of the men coughed.

I giggled a little as Paul went bright red and used his hands to cover his bits. 'Ermm... If you just wanna wait outside, Payton, I'll be ready in a minute.'

I smiled kindly as I nodded my head and turned away and walked out the door again, closing it gently behind me.

'Well...' I laughed. 'I certainly did not expect that.'

A stood outside the room for a few minutes before the men began to pour out, each one avoided my stares as they coughed awkwardly and headed their directions.

I chuckled one last time before going in again, closing the door softly behind me.

'Sorry about that.' Paul mumbled from across the room.

I turned to face him and skipped towards him before seating myself down on his desk in the very corner of the room. 'What were you even doing?'

'Umm... It's this thing I decided to do. After what you told me earlier I decided their would be a no sex outside of relationships and most of the men hear aren't with anyone, so I said to suffice them they could see my holy light...'

'So you showed a group of straight men your penis.' I snorted in laughter. 'That's a great idea.'

'I was stumped. I didn't know what else to do.' He laughed too, he walked out from behind a wall, a towel wrapped around his head but he was fully clothed by now.

'Tell them to try and get girlfriends the old fashioned way. It's humans that are dead. Not romance.' I chuckled.

He smiled kindly at me as he pulled the towel of his head and placed it on his chair, he walked around his desk then and sat directly beside me. 'I'll keep that in mind.'

'So. What's it like being in charge of all these people?' I asked.

'Difficult. I always pictured myself as a good leader who put everything right and everyone was happy, that's not as easy as I thought. The women say I don't have enough heart to make most people happy, that's why only the men were happy, then after I said "No more force, women's right are back" the men aren't happy. What exactly do I do to make everyone happy?'

'Well... Women's rights should never have disappeared, you should never have let the men do all the terrible stuff they did in the first place, that way they wouldn't have got used to it, they've grown used to barely doing anything, just having to stand at a gate for a few hours with a few buddies and then can go home and have any women or child they like. So, I think the men need to get over the fact that you've given them back this normality.' I whispered. 'But obviously, I don't actually have any right to judge you so-'

'No!' Paul gulped. 'Umm this is good. I'm glad I have someone to tell me this. What about rationing? Am I doing it right?'

'What are you doing?' I asked. 'Does everyone get exactly the same?'

'Women and men do, children get a little less because they're smaller but they get things like chocolate, sweets and things as gifts whenever they want.'

'Have you got a money system in place? Things for exchange, like earn money, buy gifts.'

'Men get given 10p's they're worth the amount of a £10 note now because we found so many 1p's, 2p's and 5p's so we just do it like that. Women get paid for their work, certain jobs have more money offered, but usually its 50p a day if you're a women doing a high paid job, 40p a normal job for a women. Men get paid 45 slap bang in the middle but like you said, they barely doing anything.'
