CHAPTER 18

"WHAT are you doing?! You're killing yourself Damian! Stop this! You're always drinking every day!" Litanya sa kanya ng kanyang kuya Daniel.

Parang walang narinig at nagpatuloy pa din sa pagtungga ng alak si Damian sa mismong bote na ng alak.

Dalawang linggo na ang matuling lumipas magmula nang malaman niyang niloko siya ng babaeng mahal niya.

"Let me do what I want Kuya tutal wala naman nang mangyayari pa. Maria is gone." Hinagpis niya.

Daniel heaved a sigh. "Because you let her go without hearing her side. You let her go so easily. You didn't chase her. Who's fault is that, huh?"

Damian glanced at his brother. "Bakit ikaw? You didn't chase Ency too-"

"Because she left me! She disappeared! With a big amount of my money! Sa tingin mo hahabulin ko ang ganung klaseng babae?!" Bahagyang napasigaw si Daniel. He looked so frustrated just hearing the name of his ex. "Good God, why am I even explaining my side on you. You're having a narrow mind these days. So, fix yourself little brother." Mapait na ngumiti sa kanya ang kanyang Kuya. "Do not be blind by your anger Damian. Do not let the noise of your mind drown out your own inner voice." Daniel pointed out a finger in his chest, where his heart is located. "Have the courage to follow your heart. Because somehow, your heart already know what is best for you."

Hearing what his older brother just said. Damian can't even utter a single word. He was speechless for a moment. They're close to each other but they never talk about love. And now, he felt it. What Daniel felt before.

He looked at his brother. Sadness crossed his eyes. "Do you still love her Kuya? Do you still love Ency?"

Hindi siya sinagot ng kuya niya. But Damian know already the answer to his questions.

Then his Kuya Daniel spoke. "I'll let you drink tonight, but that that's it. I'll let you drink again, but be sure that's it's on your wedding day." Kumuha ng isang bote ng beer si Daniel at nginitian siya. "Cheers to your happiness Damian."

DAMIAN was on his way to the cemetery. Matagal na din niyang hindi nadadalaw ang kanyang namayapang lolo na si Don Sebastian.

Bago siya dumeritso sa sementeryo ay lumihis muna siya ng daan papunta sa Little First Flower City kung saan siya laging bumibili ng mga bulaklak na dadalhin sa libingan ng kanyang lolo Basti.

Dati, kapag inuutusan siya ng kanyang ama dahil nauuna ang mga ito sa pagpunta sa sementeryo ay talagang palagi siyang nakasimangot. But the Flower City's staff are accommodating. "Welcome to Little First Flower City Sir! How may I help you?" It was Edracel who greeted him. Thadei's beautiful friend and her personal assistant.

Ngumiti siya sa dalaga. "The usual. I'll visit my grandfather's grave. Alam mo na yon."

"Yes Sir Damian!" Tinalikuran na siya nito pero bago pa makalayo sa kanya ang dalaga ay pinigil niya ito.
