*Red's P.O.V.*
Crystal and Gold were huffing and puffing as they battled many trainers in the outskirts of town. They seemed to be very serious trainers. Trainers that work harder than Green and me.
"Let's take a break from battling," Crystal breathed. "Its only six o'clock and I'm way pooped!" Gold sighed and nodded in agreement.
"I agree," Gold huffed, "I could go for a snack break."
"Well I guess I'm supplying the treats," I laughed, taking some turkey sandwiches I had prepared earlier. "They're turkey, fresh lettuce and tomato, and a hint of mayo."
"Ooh!" Gold shrieked.
Crystal nudged him playfully before taking her sandwich. "You really come in handy, Red!" I felt my cheeks burn at he compliment.
"Thanks," I choked.
"Aren't I handy?" Gold grinned toothily.
Crystal stared at him, cringing. "Gold, you're an idiot! The only thing you're good for coming to my house late at night to-" she paused and began flushing a brilliant pink. "Never mind."
"What was that Crystal?"
Crack.
I turned around to see my doppelgänger peeking from behind a tree. I stepped closer to him, leaving behind the fighting teens. He stood, lolling frightened.
"Go away!" he shouted at me. I stood before him, shocked at the similarities we shared: His pale skin, big eyes and a perfect nose. He looked just like me.
His eyes revealed the sadness bottled up in him. He seemed as though he wanted to cry. I opened my arms, ready for a hug. He slowly entered my arms. Once he was inside, I wrapped my arms around his small body. He cried, hugging me tightly.
"Red?" I heard Gold and Crystal call.
I let the boy cry out in my arms. I didn't understand why he was so upset. He finished, saying, "Never leave..." he ran off quickly.
"What was that about?" Crystal asked, confused. I simply shrugged. Why did he tell me to 'never leave' right then?
