*Lyra's P.O.V.*
I held my beloved Maril in my arms as a form of comfort. Finally, I felt myself at ease with the world. Nothing could bring me down.
"We're almost there," I told Maril as we approached Goldenrod City. The huge, towering skyscrapers sent me into a bit of shock. I was so used to the little homes of New Bark Town.
The entire city was built with many shades of yellow. Some buildings were pale and some were vibrant like a Pikachu. The color made me happier.
"This is so cool," I murmured, "don't you think, Maril?"
Maril tried to nod from within my grasp. I laughed at him as I made my way through the city. And by the way, Goldenrod was huge.
Strolling through the streets, I realized I was completely lost. Fear didn't seep into my body like I expected, though. For some odd reason I had found myself at ease.
I stepped comfortably around town trying to figure out how to navigate my surroundings. Eventually, I remembered that I could find a Pokemon Center and receive some assistance there. Some time later, I found one.
"Thank goodness," I whispered to myself as I drew nearer to the door. Before I could make my way inside, a man dressed in all black whooshed through me. My frail body could withstand the force so I found myself laying on the ground.
"Watch where you're goin' kid," the man warned with his thick accent. Upon further inspection, I realized the man seemed to be much younger, probably about my age... exactly my age! It was Gold.
Gold's outfit fashioned a blood red 'R' across the front of the dark shirt. He looked more sinister in the outfit compared to his charming, adorable self. I sighed in relief when it hit me that he wasn't a rude city-folk.
"Gold," I said as I stood to regain my composure, "what's with the goofy get-up?"
"Sorry about that, Lyra," he apologized, "I have to act this way if we want to get into the radio tower.. "
"Radio tower?"
Gold's words lacked sense to me. Why did you have to change who you are to gain entrance to a public office like that? Something had to be up...
Following my thoughts, Crystal turned out corner screaming, "Gold Ethan Hart! How dare you leave me behind down there!" In her arms, she carried a large bag.
"Why are you worrying so much?" Gold chuckled. "Its not like you were in any danger like the radio tower..."
I interjected with the question, "What is going on at the radio tower?"
Gold looked to me with his deep, metallic eyes. His charming smile found its presence on his face. "Do you remember that Fire kid talking about Team Rocket?"
"Yeah?"
Crystal answered. "Team Rocket is that stupid gang we met at that stupid Slowpoke well. Those idiots somehow manage to hold everyone in the offices captive."
I nodded to show that I understood.
"Hey," Gold smiled widely, holding up his index finger to express his idea, "why don't you come with us, Lyra?"
Gold didn't notice, but I saw Crystal staring daggers into my face. She obviously wanted to be alone with him on this side quest. But I knew I couldn't back down. I would make her feel miserable like me. It wouldn't be as bad as my recent depression, but at least I could irritate her.
"Sure," I smirked, staring directly back at Crystal. I winked at her forcing her to cringe. "But I don't have a uniform..."
Gold took the bag from Crystal. "There's a few sets in here. We thought we'd save them just in case..."
Patiently, my friends waited for me as I changed for work.

I made my way into Goldenrod in hopes of fulfilling a promise. Maybe Lyra was ready to be with me. Perhaps this will be that lucky day.
A few steps before entering, I had been spotted by a Team Rocket grunt. Afraid of my father finally finding he needed me, I made an attempt to speed past him. I failed.
The goon tossed me to the ground in one swing of his arm. He snatched my Noctowl's Pokeball, laughing as he ran away. Luna, the new name I gave my Pokemon, was taken from me.
Trying to catch up to the thief, I remembered. Lyra. She would be here. She would try and fight them off.
I rushed to find her.

I finally managed to dress my lovelies like naughty, naughty girls. Tiny, skin-tight, revealing noir pencil skirts, matching shirts with the gangs' logo so small they might as well have gone without and sexy boots with stockings. It was every mans dream.
"Let's go," Crystal growled.
Lyra giggled as she put on her hat that was identical to her usual white one, except black. She skipped behind Crystal. I followed them to the tower, where we were ready to kick some ass.

*Silver's P.O.V.*
I approached the giant public office known as the Goldenrod City Radio Tower. A Rocket gang member stood guard at the one set of doors to enter, but I knew them. This guy had been one of those people I 'befriended' (father wanted me to have friends, but this loser was the only one who took the offer because he would get a bonus).
"Hey, what's-your-face," I greeted impolitely.
He gave me subtle grin. "'Sup, Silver!"
"Have you seen a girl with a largish hat with a giant red bow? You couldn't miss it."
He nodded. "She went right in a while ago. She cute 'ya know. I wouldn't mind taking her for a spin or two on break..."
I ignored his remark about Lyra. I didn't need to get upset over something that would never happen. It wasn't possible she's get in that much trouble. Right?
As I took a step into the sliding doors, the grunt tugged me back by my arm. "Where do you think you're goin'?" he snarled. "We've got some unfinished business!"
I knew what he had been referring to. Before I left, I teased him in front of a group of females he had attempted to impress. George's methods weren't the best, considering he was so touchy-feely.
"What do you mean?"
He prepared a fist, pulling it behind him. "Because of you, I've been striking out with a lot of girls..." George was blaming me for all of his failures.
Before he could land a hit on me, I dodged, striking him in his crotch. What? I don't care if it was a cheap shot. I was going to rescue Lyra quickly.
"What..... the.... hell...." He painful squeals made me grin in success.
I ran into the tower, searching for the girl with the red bow...
