*Red's P.O.V.*
"What happened back there?" Leaf whisper-shouted to me behind the small kitchen walls. We had already eaten dinner, but the intensity still lingered. Green was long gone. Blue had returned for supper but had silently munched on her plate. Our bonds had broken the reins that connected one another.
"Leaf..." I remained silent, losing myself into her large, precious brown gemstones. Her eyes sparkled wildly in concern.
"Please!"
I gave into her begging. "I'm sorry." My head dropped in shame. "I think I'm starting to like Gold now..." Leaf's face went pale, her frown becoming more distinguished.
"Oh," she breathed, lowering her head to stare at her feet. I felt guilty for her emotions. I brought her into this roller coaster of love since that day. Our birthday. The day I wanted to confess my love for her.
"I still love you, though." I opened my arms to welcome her into my grasp. She pushed me away before I could steal a hug.
"No, stop." She continued to watch the ground. "Maybe we could talk about this later," she said, starting to choke on her subtle tears. I could tell she wanted to cry, but couldn't. Not in front of me. "We don't need to deal with this later. Just be free. It's not like you were tied down to me anyways..." She slowly trudged herself away from me, plopping herself onto one of the two beds in our Pokemon Center dormitory. Her sobs were quite, but echoed in the room of dead silence.

*Lyra's P.O.V.*
Gold.
Silver.
Why do I get stuck in such horrible drama. First, I had do deal with Crystal who was obviously plotting to take Gold from me. But I have history with him. He was and still is my first love.
But then there's Silver. He seemed so lost. He needed me. He wanted me. He gave me that feeling of a true partnership. We could actually be together. There was potential.
I don't even know what I want anymore. After such a long day of twists and turns, I found myself suffering from insomnia in the middle of the night. I alone remained awake.
A gloomy moon lit dimly from beyond the window. The darkness sent all to bed except me, who worried helplessly for some answer to my issues. I only wanted to experience a happy slumber.
A scratching sound from the window broke the silence of the night like Cricketot. Fearlessly, I looked toward the window from my bed, seeing a figure stared into the room. It watched. Upon further examination, the body had red hair. It happened to be Silver.
Quietly, I snuck out from beneath the covers I shared with Crystal, skipping toward the window. Carefully opening the glass pane, the red-head smiled at my warm face. His cold, pale cheeks welcomed me.
"Hey there, sleepyhead!" he whispered.
I giggled, responding with, "I can't sleep, I was thinking of you." He widened his eyes in surprise.
"Now that's a first!" He took a hold of my hands, looking around as if he were scared of someone's eyes spying on our secret meeting. "Can we talk out here?"
My face burned. I didn't want to climb out the window. All I wore was a large white t-shirt.
"Lyra?"
I gave into the boy's grey eyes, forgetting my embarrassment. "Yeah," I sighed. Silver assisted me in climbing through the window.
*Gold's P.O.V.*
I had listened to the whole quiet conversation. The words echoed through my mind. Lyra fled with Silver. She was with the creeper.
A twitch tugged at my chest, straining my vascular tissue. How could she be with him? I thought she liked me? Well, if she didn't care about me anymore, I guess I wasn't not obligated to care about her. I shut off my mind in frustration and sent myself to sleep...

*Leaf's P.O.V.*
My skin froze from the icy air that made itself at home in my body. All warmth went dormant, cooling me even more. Finally, I sat up from my comfortable position and realized that the window was left wide open.
"That's so dangerous," I muttered to myself, "so who in their right mind would do that?"
As I was about to shut the window, I noticed two boys in the distance. Looking more intensely, one was dressed in red. "Fire?"
The two boys turned to me, startled. Realizing it was only me, they smiled in relief and jogged towards me. I felt myself actually feel joy for the first time since Red's confession.
"Hey, Leaf," my future child sang. He had a grin across his face as he and his silent friend greeted me. "You want to come see something?"
I accepted his invitation without a second thought. Quickly, but sneakily, I hopped outside to join the time travelers. What could they have in store for me?
*Blue's P.O.V.*
I awoke to Leaf's soft voice ringing in my ear. I looked at her with my tired eyes, noticing Fire on the opposite side of the wall. Without a noise, I grabbed my Xtransiever and the business card from the nightstand beside me and texted Shadow the news.
"Fire is here!"

*Silver's P.O.V.*
I lured Lyra to the thick parts of the woods to avoid any and all attention. I needed no interruptions. Lyra would have a real conversation with me.
"Silver?" Lyra called in an uneasy tone. I stopped pacing as fast I was and looked I to her large chestnut eyes. She seemed worried. "Where are we going?"
"Here," I shrugged. Making sure there was no audience, I asked, "Did you like you're gift?" She looked at me with an unsure smile.
"Yeah, but-"
Lyra stopped talking, allowing the moonlight to fill the air between us. She stared into my eyes with curiosity. After a moment with silence, she wrapped her arms around herself.
"I'm cold," she shivered. I stepped close to her awkwardly pulling her into my grasp. Her soft brown hair tickled my chin, her breathing warming my frozen chest.
For once, I didn't feel lonely. I belonged. Someone on this planet actually cared about me.
"Silver?" I breathed heavily in response. She understood, continuing her question. "Thank you... for everything..."
Confused, I responded, "everything?"
She nodded. "For Chikorita...for being my friend..."
Friend?
"...And for loving me... like I love you..." Soon, her breaths grew heavy. She fell asleep in my arms...
