*Crystal's POV*

"Prove yourself," the beast's eyes shimmered. I could comprehend its messages clearly though I did not speak its calls.

The beasts crystal blue fur brushed against itself in the howling winds, white ribbons gallantly pacing itself against dancing air, purple hair whipping perfectly behind its head. I raised my Pokedex from my pocket and switched it on.

"Suicune, a legendary beast of Johto. Not much is known about this Pokemon..."

A smirk formed from my strawberry lips. "I guess I'll be the first to know. Go, Feraligatr!"

My pokeball flew high to release my companion, a giant blue crocodile. This would be it. I stomped my foot, commencing the battle.

"Feraligatr!"

I glared daggers at Suicune.

Time for a battle to remember forever...

*Lyra's POV*

The golden-eyed boy stood beside me, arms resting over the back of his neck as we walked. It would be a while before we reached town again.

The dirt road lay dead straight all the way to the horizon. The hot blazing sun scorched my skin, sending my pores to drench my garments in a cool sweat. Hand shielding my eyes from the blinding rays, I stared at the eternity I would have to travel.

And beside me, the boy wearing a jacket showcased a hop in every step, not even sweating.

"Gold," I whimpered, "how are you so energetic? And why aren't you at least feeling hot?" Gold gave his signature goofy grin and twirled around, beginning to walk backwards. He sped up so he could face me as we took the trail.

"I'm always hot," he smirked, his eyes sparkling in a perverse manner, "and you should know..."

I sighed, not in the mood for his stupid jokes. At this point, I couldn't tell the difference from my own sweat and the sticky water from the Lake of Rage in my clothes. I trudged onward.

"Excuse me?"

Gold tugged my hand back. Eyes focusing on the blurry path ahead, I realized a woman in a not-so-traditional kimono standing before me. I smiled weakly as my greeting while Gold gave her a more polite approach.

"Hey there!"

The woman grinned. "I take it that my sisters gave the two of you the wings?" The woman's black hair moved elegantly when she motioned a bunch over the front of her shoulder.

I breathed heavily, "Wings?"

The woman wearing the fashionably modern pink kimono nodded slightly, her large dark eyes twinkling over her mysteriousness. "By chance do you both carry a silver feather and a rainbow one?"

I nodded, nudging silent Gold with my sweaty elbow.

"-Sure!"

The kimono girl shut her eyes. "Things are going to happen," she swayed as if there were an elegant wind, "and you two should prepare yourselves..."

"And who are you?" Gold scratched the back of his neck.

Spinning slowly, she replied, "through the time I've spent in the Kalos region, I've learned my fair share of fairy tales. They have happy endings, all of them, but these tales, sadly, originally carried tragic ends..."

Eyes rolling, Gold huffed. "Well that didn't answer my question at all!"

"...My name... is Valerie..."

"Okay, Valerie, can you please move out of the way? It's kind of getting hot and we need to be somewhere." I pinched the sassy boy's arm, yanking out a "hey!" from him.

"Where you think you should be is not in reality where you must be. I understand my sisters have chosen you two for quite valid reasons. The Kimono Girls are known for there tradition, culture and knowledge of the prophecies..."

"Prophecies?"

*Red's POV*

"Where do we land? There's so many people watching us from the roads?"

I shrugged in response to Green's worries. The crowds obviously couldn't see us, which was great. We didn't need followers constantly on the hunt for the ones to tame the legendary trio.

"We could land in the mountains?" Leaf suggested.

We were lucky to live in Pallet where the population was literally like twenty people. And of them, Leaf and myself lived with our mothers amongst the many others studying science alongside Professor Oak. The ten people that weren't scientist could care less about the legendary trio because they enjoyed the solitude of the small row and didn't want the sudden boom of attention.

"What's that?" Green shouted from his bird. I felt my eyes squint at the thunder cloud up ahead. Suddenly engulfed within black, moist air, we sent ourselves into a panicked state.

"NO!" I heard from Leaf.

My eyes wandered around. I couldn't see my friends. And as I began to worry about their whereabouts, a sting fired in my neck. Eyes whiting out, I fell into unconsciousness...

*???'s POV*

And just like that, my plans whirled into motion. Everything in my control. Everything my child. Everything my toy. Everything a worthless knickknack.

No one could stop me.

No one could stand up to me.

No one could interfere.

Not again.

Never again.

I needed them. I got them. I'll use them, then I'll dispose of them.

Worthless lives. Worthless toys. Nothing but a play thing. Nothing without my use. Nothing. Absolutely nothing...

What a waste when I'm done with them all. A worthless race.
