*Gold's POV*

"Lyra come out of there!"

I watched as Kris knocked on the bathroom door once more. But to no avail, the girl who fashioned pigtails would not come out. It was hopeless.

"You know your contest is today right?"

I sighed, smashing down a button to change the channel on the television. Just a load of crap filled the stations. Slumping down in the seat, I gave up a search for entertainment.

Fire and Red were outside training. Blue and Leaf went out grocery shopping. Silver sulked somewhere out in the woods. Green slept in, snoring away in the bedroom.

I sighed again out of pure boredom.

I let my eyes wander to the boy across the couch poking the wooden table top. He turned to me and stopped immediately, flustering in embarrassment. I sighed.

"Lyra, come on!"

My gaze returned to the brunette standing beside the door in worry. Lyra certainly wasn't budging any time soon. I sighed.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

Lazily, my body pried itself off of the couch and forced its way to the front door of our room. My fingers flicked the tired lock and twisted the nob, pulling the door back to my body. A man revealed from behind stepped in without hesitation.

I sighed.

"Have you children happened to have seen a Pikachu?" His voice hinted worry, but I shrugged it off.

"No."

A large hand of his struck his forehead and rest itself there. He mumbled curses under his breath. I could comprehend his anxiety.

"What's the big deal with the Pikachu?" Curiosity had gotten the better of me.

"It was my daughter's. If I don't find that mouse, I could never live with myself..."

"And?"

Worry transformed into despair. "There is no way I'll find ChuChu! The one thing I had left from her is gone. Alas she has completely vanished from my life, this was inevitable and I will die a lonely man!"

"Giovanni?"

I peered around the man and noticed Leaf had entered holding a brown bag filled with groceries. She stood shocked at the towering man before us. The man, supposedly Giovanni, smiled meekly at the brunette.

"Ah, Leaf," he shut his eyes and swallowed a deep gulp of air, "by any chance have you seen ChuChu. I'm afraid she has run off. I'm quite worried about the situation."

Leaf shook her head. "No, actually. But what a relief! I thought you had other plans here." She giggled uncomfortably.

"Remember," Giovanni reminded her seriously, "I've moved on from my evil past."

Leaf retaliated playfully, "And remember you're a wanted criminal."

Giovanni chuckled slightly and returned his gaze to me. "If you two see her, please take care of her for me. I'll get back to you soon to see if you've found her..."
