Chapter 12- Where the Time has Gone

*AN: There's going to be a time skip at the beginning don't worry though This chapter explains it. I just want to get to the anime story. Also thank you so much for 1k reads.

Previously:

You didn't have a lot of experience, but for you, this was the best birthday ever.

Currently:

It's been 3 years since your birthday. Thanks to the animus you got, you relived the lives of your ancestors. From Edward to Connor, and the Frye twins. You've become a master at using so many weapons and hidden blade configurations. 

You also checked to see if Toga was connected to anyone. She was connected to Shao Jun which explained her attraction to her robes. It also gave Toga the idea for the hidden shoe blade as well as mastery over the rope dart.

The most important thing she took away from her time living through Shao Jun, was learning how to use her Eagle Vision. With the help of her Eagle Vision you two took out more outposts, just whittling away at the Templar's control over the country.

Unfortunately you two haven't been able to eliminate anymore leaders. Endeavor was always out in the open, Tsukauchi was always stuck up in his precinct surrounded by guards. It was the same with Nezu, just in U.A. instead.

You also haven't been able to grow the Brotherhood. It was lucky enough you were able to find Toga when you did. But finding more would be challenging. Sure more vigilantism might help, but that would just attract more unnecessary attention. 

Speaking of attention, the Templars definitely knew the Assassins in this country were back. You could see patrols wandering the streets at night, and the heroes seemed to be on higher alert than before.

Thankfully though, you've been able to make connections. Namely the black-market about a year ago. They helped to supply us with weapons and such as well as contracts to earn us some income as well. Of course, you only took Templar related contracts, but the amount of them in this country was astounding. With your income and connection to the black market you were able to purchase a nice knife for Toga's birthday.

To say she was happy to receive would be an understatement. 

(Flashback Toga's 12th birthday)

You walked into the sanctuary with your hands behind your back. Giving M a chew toy to silence her you snuck to your now shared room where you saw Toga taking a nap. Unfortunately you two weren't sharing because you were dating. It was more for convenience and to help both of you sleep at night. 

The trauma was sometimes too much. Both of the past and of the men you've both killed.

But enough of that, today was a day of celebration. You quickly shook Toga awake, and shouted "SURPRISE!" If she wasn't awake before, she definitely was now. 

Once she was back to her senses you presented her with the knife, "Happy birthday Toga."

She took the knife and inspected it, checking the craftsmanship of it. Once she was done she quickly pulled you into a hug. "Thanks Y/N." Although that apparently wasn't enough thanks as she then moved her hands up to your neck and kissed you.

You were really caught off guard for a moment before melting into the kiss. Her lips were soft and felt good against yours. After about 30 seconds you two pulled away. "Toga, I-"

She quickly silenced you with a finger to your lips. "Not right now. I've been wanting to do that since I became an actual assassin. You've shown me kindness and compassion after they became strangers to me and taught me more than I thought anyone could learn. Now you knowing all of that leaves me with one question. Would you please be my boyfriend?"

Her confession was shocking for sure, of course you felt the same way. You've felt it since you were ten and then realized it on your 11th birthday. There were so many thoughts running through your head. Soon enough though, you realized that you were inner monologuing too long and Toga was getting more worried by the second.

You patted her head again, "Of course Toga. I'm glad I'm not the only one that felt this way."

She smiled a big toothy smile that showed off her fangs. "Good, now, you and I are gonna get on that bed, and we are gonna cuddle until my birthday is done. Understood?"

You nodded, and you two crawled into bed. 

(Flashback over)

You two have been dating ever since. In fact, you two were on a date now. Exploring the area around the sanctuary. "So Toga, where do you wanna go next?"

She put a finger up to her chin. "I'm not really sure. I have a few ideas, but I want to wait until we're both at least fourteen to do that." 

You blushed at what she was implying. I mean sure, you've had thoughts like that, but you're a hormonal teenager with a girlfriend. But now you thought about what to do. "How about we go to the park?"

"No that seems too boring, plus we're already outside all the time thanks to work."

You thought again, "How about we go watch a movie or something?"

"That seems fine, but I still kind of want to do something else. Not that it'll be boring or anything, but it seems like something we do normally anyway."

You thought once more and finally got something, "How about we go shopping?"

"Black-market shopping, or normal shopping?"

"Normal shopping, we don't have a whole lot of time to just be normal teens, so this'll be a good change of pace."

She thought about it, "Yeah that works, I need to get some new clothes anyway, you know, puberty and all."

"Yeah, makes sense. Let's go." Then you and Toga went on your normal date to the mall.

Well, at least as normal as two trained killers can make it.

*AN: Quick question to anyone who's made it to this point. Do you want lemons? This is my first ever story and it'll probably be really bad at the beginning until I can make them better. But it's completely up to you.
