Previously:

Jiro was in awe yet again. The lighting, the banners, the mysteriousness of it all.

Was awesome.

Currently:

"MOM, DAD!" Eri ran out from the library, followed by M. Once she saw Jiro though, she immediately hesitated. "Uhhhhhh, who's this?"

"Eri, this is Jiro, a friend of ours from class. She might also be a new addition." In the corner of your eye, you saw Jiro's eyes widen in confusion and shock.

She turned to you, "New addition to what?"

Toga sensing what was coming decided to butt in before it could go farther. "Before we get into that, why don't we get introductions out of the way? Eri introduce yourself."

Eri walked up to Jiro hesitantly, "H-hello I'm Eri an assassin in training."

"Hello, I- Wait did you say assassin!?"

Eri looked at you like you were crazy. "You didn't tell her?" You just nervously chuckled.

"Wait a minute, if she's an assassin," She made finger quotes, "'In training' then does that mean that mean that you two," She pointed at you and Toga, "Are assassins?"

You and Toga nodded, before she could judge you though you stopped her, "There's a lot more layers to it though. Like the Templars, and the Pieces of Eden, and an ancient civilization."

Jiro got really confused, "Wait, wait, wait. Templars!? Ancient civilizations!? You better start making some sense before I start knocking it into you!"

"I'll tell you what I know ok?! Just don't hurt me!"

(Time skip 2 hours)

After a whole 2 hours of exposition dump on Jiro, she was finally starting to get it. At least a little bit. "So there's two worldwide organizations, each trying to control the world in different ways. You, the Assassins try to keep the world in total freedom. The Templars, try to have absolute rule. There was an ancient civilization of godlike beings that made artifacts, that can control people, and you guys are fighting over them and the fate of the entire world. And this has been going on for thousands of years."

You shrug your shoulders, "Well, there's a little more to it than that, but that's the gist yeah."

Toga jumped in, "Don't forget saving the world in 2012 from that solar flare."

Jiro looked at Eri, "Why do you guys use child soldiers?"

You suddenly became nervous. It did kind of seem like that from a certain perspective. "Well already existing assassins train their own children, then they join the brotherhood, if they so choose. Eri is my kid, so I'm training her."

Eri then piped up, "Dad didn't force it on me either, I wanted to train. To help Dad and Mom."

"Plus, we don't ever have the kids go on missions. We wait until they're at least 14."

Jiro then seemed to realize something, "Wait how old are you two?"

"Me and Himiko are both 15, although I'm a few months older."

"So you guys, just barely started?"

You sucked your teeth, "Well, I've been doing this since I was what? Ten?"

"Wait, but you said-"

You interrupted her, "I know, I know, but circumstances were dire."

Then it seemed another thing resonated with her, "Wait, speaking of being trained by parents, where are yours?"

You went deep in thought, "From what I can remember, my dad died before I was born from 'unknown causes' but looking back at it, he was probably killed by a Templar." You then shuddered and had a blank look in your eyes. "My mother was murdered, right in the living room of my apartment."

Her bloody smile invaded your mind. The deafening gunshot. The bullet wound in her head. The stinging tears falling down you face. The lump in your throat and the numbness in your legs. The whole thing replayed in your mind.

The other three noticing your distress immediately began trying to pull you out of it. But it took Eri hugging your leg to knock you out of it. You shook your head to get the bad thoughts out and put a hand on Eri's head. "Sorry about that. Anyway if you wanna find out about Toga or Eri's parents, you can ask them at a different time. So was there anything else you wanna ask?"

Jiro went deep in thought for a moment, trying to rationalize her thoughts. "Just one, why me?"

Toga jumped in on this one. "Well, as you can see..." She then gestured her arms to the rest of the sanctuary. "...We're a little under staffed. With just your quirk, you'd be a valuable asset. Information gathering would be a cinch. Granted, Y/N would have to teach you stealth and tailing techniques."

You then thought a moment, "Also you'd have a unique weapon if your jacks were strong enough to pierce skin. You could poison whoever you wanted from a good distance away."

Jiro again went deep into thought. You didn't blame her, this was a lot to take in. I mean killing people was a good step back from what she wanted to do as a hero. But at the same time, she would be fulfilling it, but delaying, and probably even stopping the Templars.

"Can I get some time to think about it? This is a big thing to agree to in only like 3 hours." She then realized how much time has passed. "Dammit, I need to go anyways. My parents will be home soon."

You then walked her to the door, "Of course, just think about it, and remember. This is a big secret. If it got out, all three of us would probably be killed."

She nodded, you then pulled the mechanism by the door and allowed the door to open. You two walked out into the alleyway. "Give me a day or two. But I promise I won't tell anyone. If nothing else, I'll help scope out other potential candidates."

You smiled at her. "Thank you Jiro, it means a lot to me that you are even considering this. I am in your debt."

It was her turn to smile, "Don't sweat it." She then turned to leave, "I'll see you at school tomorrow."

"See ya!"

You then turned to walk back inside, knowing you had a true friend in Jiro.
