Elçin's POV
He followed a few minutes later.
"Elçin, Napiyorsun? What sort of a behavior is this? Why did you leave the food and come?"
"I should ask this to you. What sort of a behavior is yours? I really don't understand. Really!"
"There's nothing complicated here. It's all very clear. I hadn't given you the right to decide who the next Emir will be. He's your brother so you decide very emotionally. But this is not a joke, Elçin. And you too understand it very well. Then why are you being stubborn?"
"I'm not being stubborn. It's going to be the same thing either way. If he has to do anything wrong or go against you, he can do it even while not being an Emir. Sometimes I really feel your decisions are quite--"
I sighed.
"I don't trust that man! He has spent months in prison and has returned now with complete confidence, don't you think he has revengeful plans?
You do know it but you just convince your heart because he's your brother.
Moreover, I know that even if he doesn't possess the title of an Emir, he can do anything. But for my part, I won't change my decision."
He replied stressing at the words.
"Tamam! As you decide. He can have revengeful plans but I still trust him. I still trust that he wouldn't harm us. He has spent months in the prison, one never knows what a person goes through. Perhaps he has changed for good."
"Elçin, he betrayed us."
"I did betray you as well. Then-"
He shouted before I could complete.
"Why are you comparing yourself? You're different! And even if he has spent days and months in the prison suffering, he deserved that punishment. He really did!"
Out of rage I replied,
"Obviously, you would say this. Have you ever felt the pain of staying away from your loved one for so long, all alone, having none beside you to support?"
He switched away his gaze and left. I immediately regretted at my words.
"Ufff Elçin! Why don't you control your tongue..." I mumbled to myself.
A little later, I saw him seated alone near the bonfire. He was hurt by my words. I tried to advance a few steps towards him but stopped. I couldn't gather enough courage to say 'I'm sorry!' and turned back and left.
I went to Burçak's yurt to talk to her and feel a little better.
"Burçak, may I come in?"
"Gel, hanımım.."
"Why didn't you sleep yet, hanımım?"
She asked
"I wasn't feeling sleepy?"
"Neoldu? You want to share something with me?"
She asked placing her hand over mine.
"Burçak, we had an argument. And-and I told something that I shouldn't have. I hurt him. Now he's sitting there alone near the bonfire and I couldn't even tell him a sorry. I really think I spit poison at times."
"Yok, hanımım! What poison? You just had an argument. Why are you worrying? You didn't do it intentionally. Arguments happen and such a silly worry doesn't suit a warrior like you."
"Ama, Burçak-"
"I know what's bothering you. You really care about him and would never want to hurt his feelings. But If not today, then you can tell him a sorry tomorrow. I'm sure he won't stay disappointed."
"Çok sağol, Burçak. You've always been there for me."
She smiled and replied,
"Perhaps he considers you as an important part of his life. That's the reason why he's hurt."
I smiled.
"Tamam Burçak, I won't disturb you more. Iyi Gecelar..."
"Iyi Gecelar hanımım"
Before going to my yurt, I saw that he wasn't there, probably had slept.
The next morning, I woke up. Ağabey had left already and I prepared myself to leave for hunting.
I went to the nearby forest to hunt. The same where he had come following me the previous time.
I heard footsteps approaching me. Turned to see, but there was none around.
"Who's it? Sultanım, is it you again?"
