Elçin's POV

He immediately rushed to the court to discuss the matter with Kamaç.

While I was trying to solve out puzzles in my mind.

A few minutes later, Kamaç came to me.

"Elçin hatun, Sultanım has called you!"

The obvious thought that erupted my mind was that he doubted me.

As I entered the hall, he asked Kamaç to leave. Only we both stood there.

"Elçin hatun, I have to ask something regarding this matter."
He asked calmly but my reaction was very immediate and blunt.

"Ask? Obviously! You want to ask if I'm involved in this matter. Right?"

"N-no.." he told with a slightly confused look on his face.

I moved towards his throne and picked the sword that was very beautifully kept beside the seat.

I lifted his hand and handed over the sword to him.

"This sword and my neck. Finish it off today! If you really think that I'm behind all this, slit my neck! Everything shall come to an end today."

"Go on!" I screamed again.

"Yeter!" He shouted and threw the sword on the floor in anger.
Came even closer to me and squeezed both my upper arms a little with his hands.

Staring straight into my eyes, he shouted,
"Why are you doing this, Elçin? Why do you keep repeating that I don't trust you? Why?
You didn't even let me speak and just placed a sword in my hand asking me to slit off your neck if I don't trust you.
Ewet! I trust you! Do you hear? I trust you!"

A drop of tear rolled down his eye.

He spoke calmly,
"Elçin, you earned my trust the day you saved Tapar and went against your own tribe for us. I don't mistrust you for anything."

And he hugged me quite tightly. It was  unexpected from my side.
For the first time, I had seen a very different side of him. Very different from how he was earlier.
I wanted the hug to last forever. Really, forever! And also whisper in his ear that my love was always, and 'll always be pure.

He turned his face and wiped off the tear drop and spoke without looking at me,
"Moreover, I just called you to ask if you noticed any mischief. I mean, you went outside today morning and moreover you are his sister, so they can try to target you-"

He turned his face towards mine.

"No Sultanım. I didn't notice any such thing."

He nodded. And after silence of a few seconds, I asked,
"Sultanım, do you trust me on Markus' matter too? And if you do, why then did you marry me and bring to Isfahan?"

He immediately turned his gaze away and moved his lips to speak but didn't speak.

It's obvious that when someone switches his gaze, either he probably has nothing to say or can't really say what he has.

"Sultanım, are you hiding something?"

He stared at me with wide open eyes and then replied,

"No. What would I hide?"

"I'll go now."
And I left the hall.

There erupted a light of hope in my heart. Those three words, 'I trust you!' Were like a bridge from my wounded heart to his.

Tacülmülk approached me a little later, while I was heading to my room.

"Oh! The huge snake. Finally, you showed your true colours. Sultan Melikşah might still be blindfolded. But I'm not. You showed what your cheap status is!"

"Why are you ignoring and leaving? Have nothing to say?"
He asked as I moved further ignoring him.

"You just mentioned about my status. This is my status! I don't spoil my tongue by speaking to wicked ones."

I gave a scornful look and left.

As I entered my room, the thing what I immediately got reminded of was the book, plus the small note that Mehmet Bey placed in it, which I had forgotten about earlier.

I opened the drawer and found the book kept very safely, turned over the pages and found the note.

It read,

"A warrior fell in love with a king. They got married under circumstances. She thought that she would lead a happy married life. But--"
