Elçin's POV
He moved a few steps forward and then, stopped.
Turned towards me and approached briskly, wrapping his arms around and hugged me.
"Hayir...hayir...I won't leave." He cried in my ears.
And wrapped his arms even more tightly and sobbed.
Unwrapping a little, looked at me with those tear filled eyes. I could sense his heavy breath even closer to mine.
"Why do you make me suffer, Elçin?
The man who is breathing very close to you, this man was a shattered soul. A very shattered soul who tried to act strong but failed in the battles of his heart. A broken and betrayed heart...."
He drew even closer, a side of his nose touching mine.
"He thought that he'd never be able to love. He thought that he didn't deserve it. He cried to his Rabb to heal his wounded heart. And Rabb sent a warrior, a brave warrior who fought with the demons of his heart and planted roses of love in it..."
And a tear from his eye dropped on my cheek. His lips about to touch mine, but I got rid of his hold and about to leave the yurt.
But he held my arm. Approached me from the back and enclosed my waist with his arms. Placing his face over my shoulder told,
"Don't lie to me this time, Elçin.... She was always there when he suffered from anxiety. None but she soothed his disturbed heart. She avoids an eye contact whenever he stares at her. And-and she carries the ring with her.."
His moist cheek touched mine. And his voice cracked while he asked,
"Doesn't that warrior love the shattered Sultan?"
That made me burst into tears. I turned a little and hugged him even more tightly, not to let him go. I felt as if it was a dream. And our cries spoke more than words.
"Evet...evet!" I cried wrapping my arms even more tightly around him.
"Why does she speak of leaving then?
He cried.
We both cried on each other's shoulders. We didn't want that hug to end but last forever. We didn't speak much, yet our eyes and those few words spoke out what was deep in our hearts.
Placing both his warm hands over my cheeks and wiping the tears off he told,
"Elçin, the Sultan is lifeless without his warrior."
We stared into each other's eyes. His long lashes were still wet with tears.
He drew my face even closer to his and caressed my cheek with his palm. Our lips parted to meet each other's. I shut my eyes as the candle flame opposite to us was bright enough. Our breaths grew heavier and my heart skipped a beat as his lips brushed over mine.
I placed my hand over his ear as he sealed my lips with a kiss.
He held my hand and eyeing at my wounded wrist, he mumbled,
"Does this hurt?"
"Hayir.."
He lifted me in his arms and put me down on the bed. He brought the paste from the table and applied it very gently on my wrists. And kissed my hand.
We blew off the candles and he left the yurt.
