New Friends, New Feelings

The next morning wasn't too pleasant. Lilly was sick, she wasn't keeping anything down and she looked paler that usual. Hot and cold sweats, plus a fever. Her body ached, she felt dizzy when she moved.

No matter how bad it was though, Jin was right there- holding her hand as the Nurses tended to her. He helped where he could, Daisy was laying on the floor, her eyes up at Lilly. Clearly worried but like the good trained dog she was, she was staying out of the way.

Around mid afternoon Lilly started to feel better. Not great... but she was keeping down small stuff like toast and crackers. Some ginger-ale would have been good but the hospital only had the cheap version of sprite.

"Do you still want to invite that friend of yours over?" She asked as the two were watching a show on the TV.

"Are you sure you're up for it?" Jin asked her.

"Yeah. I'm cool with it. Can we just.. watch some movies or something like that though? I'm kind of strapped to this bed now, so that sucks." Lilly replied with a soft defeated sigh.

"I'll text him then." Jin smiled and got his phone out of his pocket. He pulled up Namjoon's number and texted him to let him know he could come by this afternoon.

Around 1pm is when the tall blonde and golden Namjoon strode through Lilly's bedroom door looking like an absolute King in Lilly's mind. Maybe it was his charming dimples, maybe it was the classic straight leg jeans that hugged his visibly thick thighs, or the Chanel t-shirt in classic white that seemed to stretch over his pecs like the material was struggling to contain him, or the denim jacket that didn't quite reach down to his waist- giving him more of a 'yeah I'm tall, what about it?' attitude. Or maybe it was all of these things that had Lilly stunned and open mouthed as Jin greeted Namjoon with a friendly hug. When Jin noted the look on Lilly's face he waved his hand in front of her.

"Lilly?" He called to her.

"Hello, Lilly." Namjoon said. His voice deep and yet melodic, pulled Lilly from whatever time loop her brain was sucked into.

"H-Hi. I mean, hey." She lifted her arm a little into a wave.

"She's having a not so good day, but she's okay. She said she wanted to meet you." Jin explained.

"Ah. Well, I'm sorry your day isn't going so well. I hope you recover soon though, if that doesn't sound to pretentious." He smiled and Lilly giggled.

"No, no. I'm fine. Just bad body aches. I told Jin we can watch a movie instead of our usual video games. We can chat still, either way." Lilly tried to form words and ended up speaking rather quickly out of nervousness. Namjoon smiled, his eyes were softer- no longer the fierce dragon like eyes she'd noticed when he walked in.

"Right. Lilly here likes action flicks and comedy movies the most. Want us to choose a few?" Jin asked her with a soft warm smile. Lilly nodded.

"Sure." she said a little more calmly. The two young men picked out a few movies, the trio watched the first movie and chatted happily. Lilly was glad Namjoon was so nice to her, she was afraid of him being like some people and wanting to just talk about her illnesses, and get all sad and treat her like she could break at any second.
Even though she could have suddenly been struck by immobilizing pain at any second, Namjoon was like Jin- He still joked with her and was really fun. Of course, her friendship with Jin was different. It had been different since she really got to meet him and know him. She had a crush on him, a crush that felt like more on her end- but she wasn't sure he shared any of those same feelings.
As they watched the movies together, Jin had moved to the end of Lilly's bed, and Namjoon stayed in the chair next to her bed. The trio had Pizza delivered, they ate and Lilly felt better with these two around. When they started their last film Jin had chosen to sit next to Lilly's bed in the chair and Namjoon was sitting at the end of Lilly's bed with Daisy loving how Namjoon scratched behind her ears.
The movie was a thriller and had its share of jump scars, some that had Jin moving closer to Lilly, and Lilly gripping onto Jin's arm for security. Namjoon hadn't fail to notice the two sitting close together, nor did he fail to notice when Lilly moved her hand down closer to Jin's, and the way Jin seemed to absentmindedly hold Lilly's hand.
When the move had ended Jin and Lilly finally noticed how close they were to one another, and how their hands were latched together. Jin's ears turned red and he slowly moved his hand from hers. Lilly blushed and just stared at him. Jin found himself unable to look away... Until Namjoon stood and yawned as he stretched.
