(Lilly's POV)
It had been over a month now since I really saw Jin. I mean... spent time with him, He's come see me but it was brief and only a couple times a week. I was starting to feel bummed but Dr. Kwon had spoken with me about these treatments. He had been working tirelessly to make sure these treatments would actually work. It won't cure me of everything, but it could be one step in the right direction.
He spoke with my parents, I joined them for a call and it was so good to see them. They hadn't been introduced to Jin in person yet but knew of him and his work with the good doctor. Dr. Kwon set up something with my parents so they could come for the first treatment. Since I was an adult I got to sign all the dumb paper work that came with these things.
"Look forward to the hand cramping." Dr. Kwon said as he handed me four different packets.
"Yeesh.. you don't do things the easy way, do you doc?" I teased. He chuckled and looked at Jin who had come up to my room with him.
"A pen for the Princess?" He asked Jin. Jin reached into his breast pocket of his lab coat and pulled out a pen. He handed it to me with a soft smile. When my finger touched his it was like someone was setting off fireworks in my whole body. I felt... alive, the feeling was almost making it hard for me to breathe.
I did my best to focus but I felt like Jin was watching me, slowly I put the pen to the first page I had to sign and I signed it. I just skimmed over the other bits and signed where Dr. Kwon was pointing at. Once it was finished I was about to offer Jin his pen back but he had taken the packet from Dr. Kwon and left the room by the time I could focus.
"He's acting strange.." I mumbled. Dr. Kwon noticed and chuckled a bit. "I don't understand men..." I added with a sigh. Dr. Kwon chuckled a bit more and kissed the top of my head.
"Don't worry Princess, you're probably just as strange to him." He was trying to comfort me and I appreciated it, but I just... I wanted Jin to hang around me again. I don't understand the distance.
"Alright. I'm all set here. Treatments will start tomorrow afternoon. Your parents, by the way... should be here tonight. I've had Yuju book the hotel nearby for them. They're excited to see you." Dr. Kwon said with a smile.
"Yeah.. it's been nearly a year. It'll be good to see them." I replied with a smile of my own.
I never resented my parents, I had no real reason too. My parents both worked and their jobs couldn't transfer them overseas. Leaving their jobs to find new ones would have been risky and could have left them here with absolutely nothing. It was smarter for them to just stay where they were, and let me live here and grow up here. It's not like I didn't see them... Face timing them on the phone was a normal occurrence at least twice a week, but it had been almost a year since they last visited. I'm sure Daisy will like to see them as well.
"I wonder what they'll think of Jin." I said absentmindedly as I laid in my bed, Daisy was on the floor playing with Sowon, well... Sowon was trying to clean up Daisy's dog toys but Daisy kept taking them from her and then was rolling around cutely on the floor.
"Well.." Sowon started as she gave up and let Daisy play with the toy she had. "I think your parents will like him, He's a med student, he works hard, he's trying to become a Doctor.. and he's really.... Really good looking." Sowon turned and smirked at me as she said the last bit.
"Wh- hwa?" I couldn't speak but I certainly felt my cheeks heating up.
"Aw, look at our little Princess, grown into a woman and getting flustered at the thought of a good looking man." Sowon teased.
