A month had passed by since my mother left. The picnic with Jin and Namjoon didn't happen due to scheduling conflicts. Namjoon had been working for his father overtime, Jin was coming around again but it still wasn't like it use to be. He was always there to help me with the injections, he'd stay with me for an hour after to make sure there were still no side effects.... Even though I knew at this point that seemed more like an excuse to sit with me. I was well out of the danger zone now, but I didn't say anything... I liked that he was spending the time with me.

He wouldn't spend the night though.. but we did hang out during the day now and then, which made me happy.

According to Dr. Kwon I was getting stronger... I wasn't out of the woods by any means but I was... okay. He informed me he and his team were looking into trying another marrow transplant.. with this medicine working.. this time it might actually help.

Some things he couldn't figure out though... but after all these years he was finally able to put things he'd been working on into motion. I didn't know he'd been researching and testing things since I came here... but it made sense, he use to tell me he would be the knight in shining armor who helped save the princess. He and his team were my knights...

Wait..

"Does that make Jin my knight in shinning armor?" I questioned out loud, unknowingly... until it hit me I didn't just think it. I slapped my hand over my mouth, I could feel the blushing lighting up my face. Nurse Choi was giggling, but Dr. Kwon put his hand over mine and smiled.

"No. I don't think he is. See, the knights protect the princess, yes. However, it's the brave and strong Prince who saves her. Isn't that right, Nurse Choi?" He grinned and looked from me to her. She nodded.

"You're correct as always, Doctor." She giggled a bit.

"So.. you're saying that-"

"I'm saying that Jin is a reliable young man with a bright future. Who deserves the heart of a Princess." He smirked knowingly as he spoke. The good Doctor couldn't know, could he? Did I really feel that way for Jin? I don't know... But I needed to find out.

That night after dinner, when the stars were already out, I waited for Sowon to bring Daisy back from her night time walk. When she came back with Daisy beside her I patted my bed for Daisy to come up onto.

"Alright, she's been fed and walked and watered. If she needs to be walked again.. you know to press the call button-"

"Yeah, yeah.. and someone will come take her out. She's pretty good about holding it till Nurse Yuju comes in, or you." I tell her with a soft smile. As she finishes checking me before her shift is over, I stop her as she turns to gather her things.

"Sowon... is... is Jin still here?" I asked her. She turned back to me and smiled as she tucked my hair behind my ear.

"He might be. I know he's still working with the rest of Dr. Kwon's team... so he might be. Front desk would know more than me." She said softly as she gave me a hug. "Good night Princess. See you in the morning."

"See you in the morning Sowon." I replied. She turned around and left after gathering her things. I waited a little while.. debating on if I should go ahead and see if he's still here. I got out of bed, my night gown falling to my knees. I put on my lavender robe and took the pen of Jin's I had since I signed all those papers to get the treatment. I took it out of my top drawer of my dresser and looked at it. I held it to my chest and called for Daisy, who looked at me and then laid right back down.

"Seriously? You're not coming with me?" I asked her... like she could understand. It sure seemed like she could as she wiggled herself on my blanket and rubbed her face around, laying on her side as she huffed out and closed her eyes.
