Izuku and Katsuki slept in the bedroom (or well, presumed bedroom, it was empty) that night. It went pretty smooth. Katsuki kind of enjoyed this. He wanted a proper house though. Or well, apartment.
He hoped what Shoto had to show him was any good. He had this aching feeling that Shoto was going to turn them into UA. If he did, he was going to pummel into the concrete below him.
This was what he wanted. Yes, they were sleeping in a make shift bed, made of pillows and blankets, and yes they walked miles upon miles to get there, and yes it was unconventional. But when he turned over and Izuku is curled up against his body, his own broad arm wrapped tightly around the smaller boys waist, he realized this is what he'd wanted all along. How had he not done this sooner? It was so relieving.
If anyone tried taking it away from them, it was not going to end well for them. Who knows if they would even make it out alive. Katsuki had no issues with taking it to that extreme if he needed.
But for now, he laid peacefully with Izuku, refusing to move and possibly disturb the boy next to him. He chuckled groggily and nestled closer to his warmth, lightly kissing the back of his neck. Izuku stirred a bit, babbling something about whatever (he was a slight sleep talker), before silencing again. Katsuki wouldn't admit it, but it was damn cute.
In the next half hour, Izuku stirred from his sleep completely, turning around to look at his boyfriend. Katsuki's red eyes peeked down at his boyfriend, giving a half-raised smile.
"G'morning Dumbass. Sleep well?" He asked softly, rubbing the boys back. Izuku made a purring sound of content, reaching up to wipe the sleep from his eyes.
"Hello Kacchan." He yawned, stretching out his arms. "Slept good. You?"
"Slept fine. What time are you supposed to meet with Half n' Half?"Izuku grimaced, scratching at his fluffy hair. He forgot he had to do that. He wondered what the Hell that was all about. But he didn't question any more than he was allowed to. Shoto was firm in that he wasn't going to open up about a goddamn thing.
"I don't quite think I got a time—"
His phone buzzes. Katsuki snorted, slowly getting out of their makeshift bed. He leaned over and grabbed Izuku's phone, nodding his head.
"Well I know, now. He says we need to head out. And we need to bring our things?" Son of a bitch was going to turn them in! Katsuki grit his teeth, but Izuku just calmly took the phone from Katsuki and shrugged. He didn't seem to think that Shoto was going to betray them."He didn't seem like he was going to do what you were thinking, Kacchan." Izuku spoke softly, thumbs rapidly replying to Shoto. He then traveled to his bag after he sent the message, getting dressed. Katsuki respectfully looked away while the other got dressed.
"He could be lying, Deku. And then what? You don't wanna get in trouble, right? We will be in so much trouble if we go—"
"Katsuki. Hush. It's fine. I swear. On All Might."Katsuki sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. "Fine. I'll start packing then. Get some breakfast to take on the walk. He sent the location, right?"
"Of course! This is Todoroki we're talking about. He doesn't do anything lightly. He goes the extra mile."Katsuki didn't say anything else, munching on some rice crackers for breakfast. He sighed, patting his stomach. He was eating like shit. He was slightly worried about his physique. But with all of the walking they did yesterday, they really shouldn't worry at all.
He packed up all of the bed, and then looked through the rest of the house to grab anything that they would have otherwise forgot. Like things in the bathroom or the living room. They needed everything they could get. It was all they had.He plopped all of the bags at the front door, unlocking it from the inside. He grabbed a switchblade that was in his bag. This was when Izuku came out to the main room after getting ready. Being greeted to a moody Katsuki with a switchblade was not in his plans. It was quite horrifying. Was he really dragged all of this way to get murdered in some abandoned home?
