It seemed simple enough when put into words. Way more simple than putting a plan into action, to be fair.
Eliminate the strings in your life. You're a villain, it doesn't seem all that hard to do. You can't have ghosts of your past following you around as a villain. It was collateral. It was dangerous. And if something bad happened to you, whether or not you really cared or not, it was still hurting someone close to you. Cutting contact didn't seem to be enough, because their spirits still existed within you. There was still a chance you could run back to them. When Dabi had said that, vacant eyes boring into his own, he understood what the mission was that he was being assigned. He knew he was talking about Inko. There was nothing else to hold onto in that former life. The only one that was left was her, even when she left him in the pouring Summer rains so long ago. Izuku knew as long as she lived, the more likely she was going to hang over his head.
He had done away with school as quick as the bullet that severed the life of Togata. That, though difficult at the time, was long since forgotten in his mind, replaced with various other violent crimes he had committed since joining the League.
There was a notable event in which Dabi and Shigaraki were looking to get some information about some underground drug ring they were hoping to get their hands embedded in.
The boys, only been members for around four months at this point, are greeted with a whimpering man tied down to one of the rickety bar chairs. His eyes are covered with a cloth, and his fingers are bruised and bloody. They had broken all of them in an event to torture information out of him.
"Please! I don't know much!" He had cried out, much to the discontent of the main villains. Kurogiri watched on wordlessly, and Toga was quiet too.
With a kick to his rib cage, the chair shot backwards, and the man cried out again as his taped down form went down with it.Shigaraki was on top of him in a swift move, grinning madly at the informant.
"Now, I don't know who you think we are. Or who you think you are, but you're going to tell me everything you know or I will snap every single rib in your pathetic body." He slurred out cruelly, leg rising again in a warning. The man whimpered out and thrashed his body rapidly to try and avoid the crushing blow.Izuku watched on curiously, though he did have to look away for some parts, like Dabi meticulously removing fingernails. The screams were rancid, and it made the boy writhe. Katsuki frowned, but stood stoically, looking on with convincing contempt.
"Deku... will you do me a favor?" Shigaraki asked softly, pulling the man back up from the floor. He removed the blindfold, as the man got used to the surroundings around him. He trembled in horror at all of the different faces that were looking on at his torture.
"Uh, yes Shigaraki. What is it that you need?" Izuku answered slowly, standing up from the bar, where he was seated.
"This guy just won't budge. I don't think he wants to talk to little old me, or my Pepperoni-looking partner in crime." Shigaraki snickered, Dabi rolling his eyes. "Maybe a youthful spirit will get him to spill about this little business the yakuza have going on." The leader smirked, giving Izuku a four-fingered pat on the back. "And you're more than welcome to as well, Dynamight. I know you're probably itching to get your hands on him."The adults left the room, but Kurogiri, Toga, and Spinner stuck around to see what Izuku and Katsuki would do.
"Just remember, don't kill the guy until after we get everything out of him, okay?" Toga chipped in excitedly. Izuku wondered how many of these... incidents she had participated in.
Izuku looked at the guy, prying his jaw open. He whimpered as Izuku looked at all of his teeth, Izuku spying a gold molar towards the back. He hummed softly and slammed the man's jaw closed again. He reached in the breast pocket of his suit jacket and put on his gloves, glaring at the man.
