Villains. They were villains. Right? Was it so easy? Why did it seem so difficult to acknowledge? They didn't want to be villains, but they didn't want to be heroes. But they had done bad things, so they couldn't be heroes. What did that leave them? What options did they really have anymore?

They weren't typical citizens either. They were teenage boys that ran away from a prestigious high school because they felt like hero society was a sham. They were robbing stores and gas stations to stay afloat. And the only reason they had a place to live was because of a hero with a turbulent relationship with his father.

This was writing itself like a bad book. They laughed just thinking about it. How embarrassing... And stupid.

But this was who they were now. All of the ties were cut off now. There was nothing really holding them to being a hero anymore. Their friends weren't holding them down. Their school wasn't keeping them down. They couldn't think of anything.

They still watched the news conferences idly sometimes though. Doing so reminded Izuku every time what he had still holding on to his past life. His mom still stood in the crowd every week, and his teacher sat while they were hammered with questions. All Might was there, urging reporters with questions about his protégé and the esteemed student Katsuki Bakugo.

They both knew better than anyone it wouldn't be easy transitioning to villainy with past strings still attached. They were just asking to get caught and punished for all of the wrongdoing they had been doing, admittedly. However they weren't about to make any bold moves without the oversight of some bigger villains. They didn't trust themselves in this new position yet. That would've been stupid.

They thought over what their options were. They didn't really know any villains, considering it was a close knit circle. Why would they ever need to know villains closely? They were primed to be heroes. It's not like they had any villains on speed dial. That was for sure.

So in reality, 'thinking over their options' wasn't really... an option. They were trapped and had no idea where to turn to for help. Who would accept them? They were missing UA students. They could easily be deemed unable to be trusted because of that. Even though they would be geniuses to let the pair join their group. They had such strong quirks and were smart boys. They had already started committing crimes, though they weren't anything bigger than small robberies.

Who were they going to run to? Who was going to let them in? Who was going to teach them to be strong villains that scared the Hell out of any heroes? They asked so many of these questions to themselves. They didn't feel like the answer was obvious, though the more they thought it over, the more obvious it was.

The League of Villains. It made sense. They were a close knit, tight group. But they were always looking for ammunition to make the group stronger. They were the reason the boys were able to run away in the first place. They worried about going to the League of Villains though, because for all they knew, those damn Villains wanted them dead. They couldn't rationalize them breaking into the forest to try and grab them and only them. Especially considering the other powerful students of the class like Todoroki or fuckin' Kirishima.

That damn bastard... He was Katsuki's breaking point.

When they returned home that night, Katsuki was filled with so many feelings. He was angry, sad, stressed, anxious. Everything. All because of his friend.
If he wanted villain, he would get villain. There was no doubt about that. He had no problems making that finally push into villainy if it meant he could end these stupid feelings once and for all.

And Izuku would follow along no matter what. It seemed to make sense to transition into full-time villainy, since it would supply stable living. Well, more stable living than whatever the Hell this was. There would be more people to protect them, and it would be— fine enough. They might even learn a thing or two. The League, though small, were mighty. They managed to pull off some really big things as a group. Izuku was definitely curious as to what joining them would do to him and Katsuki. Would it be for better? For worse?
