Author's Note: Should mostly be from Todoroki's indirect POV

Was this villainy?

Was that what allured him? Or was it the prospect of eliminating his father? Where did that make him a villain? Did it make him a hero to his family? What was villainy, in the world that seemingly despised Enji Todoroki?

But his father was a hero. He was the hero. He was the number one hero, at that. For God's sake, he knew it. Of course he knew that. It had been thrown in his face since he was born. Even before he was born. His father essentially created him like some shitty fucking science experiment to try and overpower any other hero. He tried it three other times, and he just happened to be the unlucky bastard who was successful. He wanted to live vicariously through his son, it seemed, and Todoroki didn't want to play that role anymore.

He despised his father. Every time a hand was laid on him as a child, the hatred only grew. The fact that he'd witnessed his father striking his mother, caused the hatred to only grow. The fact that he drove his mother to impartial insanity, causing her to permanently scar his skin, and sent her away for almost his whole life— caused the hatred to grow. And the fact that he tried to pretend that nothing ever happened in their childhood was revolting. He was the least likely candidate for a redemption arc, and yet here he was pretending to give a shit. Not to mention the fact that he had driven his estranged brother to become a murderer and otherwise bastard... you got the idea. The scars that covered his body were horrific. Had his brother gotten such horrific scars from his father too? He didn't want to ask.

God his brother. He couldn't stand him. He only has faint memories of him when they were younger, considering Enji kept them separated because he was the perfect result from the mentioned experiment, and the other children (Natsuo, Fuyumi, and Touya) were not. This brother he was meeting now was insufferable. He was arrogant, moody, obscene, and overall a complete and utter asshole. He really couldn't stand him whatsoever. He didn't know what part was produced from the villainy, and what part was seemingly always there.

But it was rather convenient to have this asshole for a brother be working for a huge up and coming villain organization. It was an easy way in, even without his friends. He remembered seeing the group back during the summer camp where the couple disappeared, but also when they broke into the USJ building at UA. But now here he was, walking with Dabi, Izuku, and Bakugo to the headquarters of the League of Villains. He wondered if it was going to be some big, scary looking building. Or some intense bog. Or something of the sort. The group seemed to talk themselves up a lot.

They were really skeptical on taking him, but Izuku was definitely insisting on taking him. It was a huge deal. Killing the number one hero. It was an opportunity like none other. And the fact that Todoroki wanted him to kill Endeavor was insane. But insane in a way that he kind of liked. It was attention that the group needed, and attention that he most definitely wanted. Katsuki was indifferent. It was a job. And it would most likely have great pay off. But for now he was just walking along lazily.

Dabi was fuming, chain smoking the cigarettes from his pack, angrily smashing the cigarette butts in his palm every time that he finished one. Todoroki's docile eyes glided up to his older brother, raising an eyebrow.

"Why are you smoking like that?" Shoto asked calmly, tilting his head. Dabi snorted at his naivety.
"You're such a fucking brat— stupid fucking brat. I should kill you. I should very much kill you." Dabi was muttering, hands trembling. "What's it to you? I smoke when I smoke. Part of being a grown up."

Izuku and Katsuki shared glances of concern, wondering what had the normally collected villain so unhinged.

"What have I done to you? Cheer up. You're acting crazy." Todoroki huffed, crossing his arms. Izuku looked at him like he was the crazy one for saying something like that. Dabi grunted and narrowed his eyes.
