ABUJA, NIGERIA.
A week has passed in a blur and Bushra's days are already over and it feels like she didn't get to be with her husband for as long as she wanted to. Now it is Zara's days that will take over, she feels lonely before the days started. She is more worried about Ramadan coming for just a week more, they will start fasting and the thing shall be more complicated. She don't want to do something that will both anger everyone in the house but she has a plan up her sleeve. She won't work on it though, she has better things than that.
With Ramadan around the corner, Eid is also approaching which means too many clothes will be waiting for her. Even at that moment, she has so many appointments waiting for her and thank God for the assistant she has now, she hired one after they came back. She didn't like the one her mother sent to her, she isn't efficient and is always forgetful, she don't need people like that in a serious business. She wanted to open a store like Mika'il had suggested but she won't anymore, not after having a cowife in her home. Everything could go wrong, she is not really comfortable with her in her home neither would she ever be.
And her encounter she remembered having with Zara few days ago that actually made her go cuckoo for awhile there. She know she should not feel like that for she doesn't have the right but she can't help it. Not a single cowife would be happy with the news Zara broke to her faithful evening that just yanked away. It was three days ago when she came down to her living room looking so happy in her fitted gown that made sure to tighten everywhere around her body something Bushra hates. She's got the body too!
It makes her wonder what is it that she lacks and she has, except for Mika'il's heart, nothing else. Zara isn't entirely ugly if her jealous side could only rest for awhile and agree that her cowife knows how to take care of her body like any other female out there. Maybe even more than Bushra could, she is not an expert when it comes to skincare and all that shit. Her beauty comes natural so it's only waste of effort if she tries adding more, she doesn't change at all no matter how many hours she use.
Her conversation with Zara that evening suddenly came back to her again like striking thunder in a beautiful day with sun shining in the middle of the clouds.
"So, I wanted to ask you something." She didn't sound rude neither did she sound offensive even though Mika'il isn't around so Bushra got confused at her sudden attitude. Knowing she can't trust the snake, she knew she has something under her sleeves so she played along like the elder sister even being the younger.
"Sure, ask away." She held Anaan with both her hands so she can burp, she just fed her sole milk hoping she would sleep and she can go get some clothes sewn. She was in the middle of sewing a bridal gown meant to happen after Eid and she works with the time you bring your clothes not the time you want it. It's not like she asked you to bring it late when you need it soon, she don't like being rushed, she works wrongly if rushed.
"I don't know how you find out whether you are pregnant or jot but my period hasn't arrived and it should be here since a week ago so I wanted to ask how you found out you were pregnant with, her." She pushed her thumb at Anaan who is only staring at her as blankly as her mother is. She's been seeing the new face but she didn't like her, the feeling was mutual.
Bushra on the other hand knew the game Zara was playing so she tried her best to make her face blank and not think about pregnant Zara and what she will do to them in that house. The woman clearly wants to get pregnant as soon as possible which is something Bushra can't stop her from doing. That is why they got married huh? For offsprings to sprout out and the family name to keep moving, isn't it? She also has her own baby with her, in her arms whom her husband loves dearly. Maybe this is why Zara also wants to give birth, the woman shouldn't be trusted with her own baby, Bushra thought.
