ABUJA, NIGERIA.
Minutes after Mika'il left, Amani made her way to the kitchen after making sure their pictures are posted on all social media. She has wished him about the marriage, it's only few minutes before the media blew everything away. That is why she did it in the first place, she doesn't want anyone thinking she is too sad that her husband is getting married when she is not.
She cooked something quick for her friends that are about to bustle in her home to get ready for the dinner later. Her gown is hung in her room which Mika'il can't stop admiring, she refused to wear it on for him to see and said she will surprise him when she arrives. The way her brothers planned this day, it made her think the love of her brothers is too much for her to bear at the same time as the one her husband has for her.
Shortly after she was done cooking some rice with colouring, green, blue and pink but when tasted, it is plain. She will mix it up with chicken soup and some tamarin juice she has in her fridge. She heard the doorbell rang and Scarlet went to open the door saving her the trouble from hearing the shrilling sound of her friend making stupid comments about how good she looks, she know she looks good in her unique lace and the colour compliment her skin tone.
"Wow, she cooked some food for us! That is why I love you so much, B." It was Amir making her groan, he is going to finish half the food before she even get the plates arranged on the table. The guy loves food and his wife is definitely going to suffer cooking three or four times a day, the man and food go the same lane all the time.
"I love her too." Afrah grinned, sitting on one of the dining chairs like she is anticipating the best food to come in front of her magically. The girl is cute but she also turns to a devil when she needs to eat food, she likes food like all of her sibling, I think it runs in there blood.
Her husband's family are very dramatic!
"You guys should calm down please. I am going to serve you guys with my own hands, no one will serve himself." She demanded sternly after telling Scarlet to bring out plates and other cutleries from the kitchen because if she leaves the place and let them have their way, she will find the warmer empty.
She could see a suitcase sitting in the middle of their living room, she should tell them about going back upstairs, maybe they will help her with some advice. She thinks staying downstairs is better than going upstairs though. She works downstairs and don't even like the idea of her daughter going there all the time, maybe she should just bring her furniture down and let them take Zara's closed ones up. Yup, they didn't open the furniture and she doesn't care.
"And tell them to not eat too much or their clothes won't fit them later and I only brought one girdle for myself, they should know their limit." Kauthar's voice pierced through the dining room making the girls grumble out at the thought of looking ugly at the dinner they want to rock and rub in their enemies faces.
They need to make sure that spotlight is taken from it's owner!
After they ate, they lounged upstairs with Amani trying yo bring up the matter she wants to discuss with her girls. They all look like they are anticipating something which makes her wonder if they ordered some more food. They are always looking forward to more food, they like to eat more food all the time. Well, it's now or never, she needs to see whether what she thinks about doing to her home is okay since it's a lifetime one.
"Do you think I should take upstairs or downstairs? I feel like downstairs will be more convenient seeing I have everything there and I won't have to interrupt her when she has guests." Amani asked after sometime, seeing as they all kept their phones aside and decided to listen to her. They know she never talks stupidly, she wants them to understand her point.
