ABUJA, NIGERIA.
"I really don't like that he gave her his heart, he should've lived and be happy with the other woman. She clearly loved him a lot too, so much." Bushra murmured, her eyes brimming with tears as she stared at the large television in front of them. They are watching a movie, together with Amir in their new living room. On their wedding night.
"No, he did the right thing to me." Amir whispered back, his head atop hers while his arms are wounded around her shoulder, resting right on her arm where he traces unknown patterns now and then.
"I don't think so, dude. I have been waiting for her to die, I was expecting that but then he had to die. His death took a toll on me right now, it touched me." She sniffed again, this movie got her like... She wished she never watched, she won't stop thinking about it now for so many days. That is how sad endings always make her head throb in bad thoughts.
"And he couldn't see her dead, he took the death instead. Love is selfish and selfless and in this case, he took the selfless side of it and let her live his life with his heart beating in her chest. She will never forget him, ever. She reopened his dying studio too just to keep his memories moving." He kissed the top of her head, it came natural when that is their first night together.
With the way they are comfortably wrapped around one another, one might think they have been married for so many years and finally got time for themselves after putting their children to bed. As if they all had busy lives and don't get to spend it with one another, so they chose a movie night over an intimate one on the bed in their bedroom.
They prayed after their friends left them in their new home, took turn taking bath, changed into their comfortable sleeping wear then launch in their living room. He is wearing set of new Calvin Klein sweats he got just for their first night together since she knows almost half his clothes, he changed. On the other hand, Bushra is wearing garnet silk shirt and knee length trouser adding it's matching robe on top looking cozy but sinfully sexy. When she sashayed out of the room as he was setting the television for them, he almost had a heart attack instantly.
He's always known that Bushra Amani is a sexy woman in whatever she wears but he was looking at her through a new light. She is now his wife, his halal in every sense of the way. The sway of her hips left to right, the swell of the hills on her chest molded to perfection down to the narrow way of her tummy. And when her legs opened through the robe, showing her knees down to her toes, his eyes turn lovey dowey with admiration. He can't believe she is really now his, to make happy, to have by his side and a lot more.
And since Anaan isn't with them, Gigi forcefully took her away even though they didn't want her to her to, they had to, it makes everything easy for them. She also loves Gigi, she didn't throw tantrum when the woman took her away in the morning to spend a whole week with. The old woman thinks they need more time together so they agreed to let the girl stay with her great grandma. The woman is insinuating something they both and everyone knows, what all married couples do. They don't just sleep the whole nights, something happens which they don't want to talk about.
Amir don't know how to feel about it actually. Is he supposed to let everything roll off and walk down the path of fate or take the first step like all men do? She didn't tell him anything about being uncomfortable with them being intimate. He doesn't want to make her uncomfortable, she didn't say anything too about their night after the joke he made at her home earlier when he went to see her. She only blushed and blushing means either approval, excitement and embarrassment. In her case, it was all of at the same time so she is wondering why he is taking his time.
