"Rei, I am so, so, sorry."

Rei stares at Hawks lost for words. She did not expect him to say he cheated. "Wait, the whole time we were together you were with her too?"

"No, she and I only happened once." Rei takes a step away from Hawks trying to make sense of everything.

"Wait, so I was the side chick and you just so happened to knock me up, and if it wasn't for that you and I would've never gotten back together. You meant it when you ended things back then."

Rei turns her head away from him. "Rei, I swear I've changed and I didn't want to go on pretending with you."

"No, you didn't want to keep living under Dabi's grip. This has nothing to do with me or the twins. If it just so happened that no one knew what you did you would've taken it to the grave, unless Magenta is rude enough to come to my doorstep and tell me herself."

Hawks stares at Rei in disbelief, he never told her the name of the woman he was talking about.

"I remember the nights you'd come to my room and watched over me as I slept, or obsessed over how long I stayed out with my friends, one day I bumped into Magenta on my way home. I'm guessing maybe you two were on the outs at the time.

"She was pretty wasted, and snarled at me before she went on to corner me and tell me everything. Every single thing you did, where you were when you suddenly cancelled on me. Where you two spent your nights together. She didn't leave out a single detail.

"I didn't say anything at the time because it was clear you and I were just physical from the start, but than you changed and I got a little more of your time and no excuses about work and traveling, until you got back into old habits again.

"This whole time I was in denial and I chose to push the truth away, but I knew one day you'd go back to her, you always go back to her."

Hawks shakes his head, "That's not true Rei, I want nothing to do with her. I want to be with you, and I'm willing to fly to the moon and back for us. Please."

Rei shrugs her shoulders, "I don't know what to say to you Keigo. You might be telling the truth now, but what about when things are tough? You always run, and I am tired of hoping you come back because each time you take longer to come back, and one day I'll wait until I'm dead."

"Rei I can change and I know I have. I'm sticking with you through this no matter how tough it is."

"Keigo, you seriously had to drop a bomb on me after we just had such a great time. You suck."

Rei walks away and Hawks follows her inside the room. She takes her things and her phone. "Don't follow me. Don't even try anything right now Keigo, because I need to think clearly and I can't do that with your excuses in my head."

She grabs the car keys, walking away with tears in her eyes. She drives to her mothers place going back to her old room and curling up in a ball under the covers.

She's not sure why she isn't crying or angry, maybe she still is in denial because she's willing to forgive Keigo and continue like nothing ever happened.

Hawks knocks on Splitters door. He's the one that has the twins. Mez is with Dabi at his place. "Woah, Hawks!"

Splitter stares at Hawks looking like a mess at his door step. "I blew it." Hawks announces walking into the house. Keiko's head turns in the direction of his fathers voice and he stands up holding on to the wall as he walks.

Hawks looks behind Splitter smiling when Keiko lets go of the wall to take his first step on his own. Kaito crawls past his brother and sits down when he's tired.

Keiko takes a step towards his brother holding on to Kaito's head staggering back and forth before losing his balance and falling on top of his brother.

Kaito sits up and blinks twice before he cries. "You just had to show up." Splitter glares at Hawks who walks in and comforts the twins. "How are you guys today?"

"Mommy!"

Kaito turns to Mez at the door and she smiles. "Am I going to laugh my ass of when the confusion finally wears off." Mez picks up Kaito pecking his cheeks. "Hey you guys."

Keiko puckers his lips raising his hands for Mez to pick him up to. She smiles carrying both of them out of the house. "Little sis promised them a sleep over at mom's, she's going back to classes, so if you want to see them you'll find them with my mom."

Hawks sighs, now he feels guilty for stressing Rei out right before her classes begin. "Did she say anything to you?" Hawks asks Mez and she looks at him confused.

"Are you two fighting? She said everything is perfectly fine between the two of you."

"Yeah," Hawks clicks his tongue smiling at Mez, "Everything is perfectly fine, remind Rei she has to meet me later she knows where."
