Chapter 15: Mehen Kingdon

YOUR P.O.V

We stayed on the forest floor as Keigo calmed down. I ran my fingers through his hair as he wrapped his arms around my body.

"I love you." He said, looking up at me with his golden eyes. "And only you."

He captured my lips with his, and moved forward, pinning me to the ground. He kept my left hand in his, as his right hand went under my dress, and gently grazed up my thigh, to my stomach, and to the bottom of my bra, where he continued to outline the bottom of it. His cold fingers sent shivers up my spine, and shook my whole body. He did all of this while continuing a steady rhythm with our lips.

I placed my free hand on his chest, and pushed his away slightly. We parted, and he looked at me with his honey pool eyes, disappointed. He hovered over me with my left hand in his, and his right hand by my head.

"I don't think we should do this here." I stated, looking away from him. My face started to heat up really fast, but I could feel his eyes traveling my body.

"Why?" He asked.

"Keigo, we are in the middle of the woods!"

"Oh, I get it." Keigo chuckled. He pushed himself up, now straddling me, and ran his fingers through his golden locks of hair.

"What?" I asked, now facing him. He chuckled, as he took my other hand in his left hand, and leaned down to my ear.

"You're embarrassed." His lips grazed my ear.

"No, I'm not." I corrected him. "You've seen most of me. I don't think it bothers me anymore." He rose back up, and looked over me.

"So, its the place that bothers you?" He smirked. I looked away from his gaze, as a few laughs escaped his mouth.

"I-I wouldn't say that..." I stuttered. He stopped his laughing, and looked at me with his lust-filled eyes.

"Then, what's the problem?" He asked seductively. He leaned back down, and kissed me gently and lightly. In a way, it was as if he was teasing me, with how lightly our lips were touching. At first, the kiss was slow, taking the time to really appreciate each other. But, in an attempt to deepen the kiss and signal for more, I quickened the rhythm of the kiss.

Keigo chuckled and smirked into the kiss before giving in, and kissing me deeply. He was now on top of me, and he let go of my left hand and caressed my face, to bring it up to deepen the kiss even more.

I decided that I would try and take over the kiss. In that attempt, I bit his bottom lip. He was shocked, but he refused access. As I was about to bite his lip again, he removed himself from my lips, and started place soft kisses over my face. The soft kisses confused me, as they held a different meaning from what was going on.

"I know how this must seem, Y/N." He said in between kisses. "But I promise you, I'm not just looking for sex."

I stayed quiet, but he seemed to be looking for an answer. There was a few seconds of silence, before I broke it.

"I know." I sighed.

"Why did you say it like that?"

"I didn't say it like anything."

"But-"

Keigo was cut off by rustling in the distance. It sounded like the leaves on the ground were being crunched under someone's feet, or even possibly been moved around slightly.

Keigo sat up, still straddling me, and looked around. "Did you hear that?" He asked. I nodded, but didn't say anything, in fear of something hearing me. He finally stood up, and looked and took a few steps forward. I lifted myself up on my elbows, and the dead leaves stuck to my hair.

"Keigo?" I called, but he raised his hand to tell be to be quiet.

"Get up." He said firmly. I did as he said, and walked up behind him, and stayed there.

"Keigo?" I looked up at him. He looked down at me, and smiled gently.

"Its okay." He reassured me. "We can head back."

"Yes, please. I feel like someone is watching me."

"Lets go." He grabbed my hand, as we started to head back to the village. Keigo seemed like he was in a hurry, and he was dragging me rather than us walking side by side.

"You seem worried. Is everything okay?" I asked.

"Everything will be fine once we get to the village." He explained.

"Please tell me, Keigo."

Keigo stopped in his tracks, and sighed. He let go of my hand, and faced me. He cupped both of my cheeks in his hands, and kissed my forehead.

"My kingdom is at war right now." He said suddenly.

"What?"

"And right now, we are at their mercy. They occupied the city, and we can't do anything until our army rebuilds."

"What kingdom?" I asked. "Who are you at war with?"

"I don't even know." He sighed, as he ran his fingers through his hair. "All I know is that the prince took over."

"So, the kingdom recently got a new ruler, then?"

"Yes."

I started thinking, and tried using the process of elimination. But, there are so many kingdoms that pass on power all the time.

"Oh, and the kingdom is obsessed with snakes. Its their mascot." Keigo said, looking down at the ground and kicking some dead and dried up leaves.

My heart sank to my stomach, as I could only think of one kingdom.

The Kingdom of Mehen.

I looked up at Keigo with wide eyes, visibly shaken up.

"Whats wrong, love bird?" He asked, and held both of my hands.

"The Kingdom of Mehen." I told him. "Thats the kingdom you are at war with?"

"Now that you say it, it does sound familiar." Keigo pondered out loud. "Is everything okay? Is there something you know?"

"He over through his father, and requested my hand in marriage." I said plainly, spacing out

"What?"

"I said no. I was only seventeen or eighteen at the time. But he persisted for months." I told him. My hands started to get sweaty as I felt what seemed like to be a thousand eyes on me.

"What did your parents say?"

"Nothing really, but they supported my decision. Nyo is blood thirsty and-"

"Nyo?" Keigo raised an eyebrow.

"That's his name. Nyo Adelio." I shuddered at his name.

There was silence between us, but we could hear the rustling of the leaves on the ground getting closer and faster.

"Keigo, I want to go back now. I don't feel safe."

"You're safety is my number one priority. Lets hurry back."
