39: Stop the Marriage

Keigo was walking in the long corridor, and it usually wasn't very well lit. But because of the party that was happening not to far away, more light had shone in the hallway. He was feeling knots in his stomach, and feeling very uneasy. He was breathing very heavily the entire time.

Once he got to the ballroom, he saw the you were already standing next to your parents in front of everyone. "Ah! Kei, hurry up!" You called over to him. He nodded and hurried next to you, holding your hand and kissing your cheek. Shortly after, Bakugou, Kirishima, Jirou and Sora came and stood behind you. Your father looked over at Keigo, and flashed him a smile before clearing his throat.

"Everyone, we have quite the announcement tonight!" He started his speech. "It is my pleasure to announce that my daughter, Princess Y/n will be married to Prince Keigo of the neighboring kingdom!"

Everyone started to cheer, clap, and all of those sorts of things. Keigo smiled down at you and held your hand and squeezed it gently. This caught your attention and you looked up at him, smiling softly. "It's official my love." He whispered to you. You giggled a bit and nodded, before looking back into the crowd. You saw all the kids from the village, all of your friends, and the moment couldn't have been more perfect. You looked behind you to see the ones you loved most, but noticed someone was missing..

Momo.

"Kei, have you seen Momo?" You whispered to him. He looked back, and the only think he noticed was Bakugou staring him down.

"No, I thought she was over here." He shrugged.

"Man... I was really hoping she could have been here for the announcement." You sighed, but when right back to the crowd to wave.

Kirishima was happy for you, he saw how happy Keigo made you and you deserved to be happy. Kirishima was clapping, trying to get Bakugou out of his little pouty state. That's when he felt a tap on his shoulder. He looked back and it was Momo.

"We need to talk." She whispered to him. "I heard something I wasn't supposed to. We need to stop this marriage from happening."

This caught the attention of Bakugou. He smirked to himself a bit before leaning in on their conversation. "And what have I been telling you guys?" He chuckled a bit. Of course, he was only saying that at the time to be selfish.

"Hurry, get everyone to the room, right now." Momo demanded. She turned away to walk to the room they had to themselves. Kirishima looked at Bakugou with worried eyes before following her. Bakugou tapped on Jirou's shoulder and motioned for her and Sora to follow.

Once to the room, they all saw Momo pacing, running her fingers in her hair.

"We need to stop this marriage." She reiterated.

"I've been saying that but no, you idiots didn't listen!" Bakugou shouted, before collapsing on the couch in front of Momo.

Kirishima sighed and rolled his eyes. "Why do you say this? She looks so happy."

"I heard something I wasn't supposed to. I-I was trying to find Y/n, and came across Keigo and Touya instead.."

"What did they say?" Jirous asked, holding Sora's hand.

"Oh god it makes me sick to my stomach.." Momo held her stomach, and took a deep breath.

"Just tell us." Bakugou was getting impatient, crossing his arms.

"Is it bad?" Sora asked, her face full of worry.

"Based off of her voice, yes." Jirou said sadly, picking her up and holding her in her arms. "Is Y/n okay?"

"For now yes... but I have a bad feeling. We need to get her away from-"

"Keigo." Bakugou finished for Momo.

"Yes... and Touya."

"Touya? Why Touya?"

Momo took a breath and sat down in a chair. "Listen, I'm pretty sure Touya was the one who wanted Keigo to marry Y/n.."

"Okay?" Kirishima raised an eyebrow.

"Get on with it!" Bakugou yelled.

"Keigo is only marrying Y/n for her status and power!" Momo blurted out. Everyone stayed silent. "The war in Keigo's kingdom is why he's marrying her. Because of her power. She has the power to stop the war. He's marrying her for political reasons... not because he loves her. And Touya wants to make sure they get married, and if they don't Touya will marry her."

"What?!" Bakugou was sprung up, his face all red. "I'll kill him before he does that!"

"We have to make sure Y/n stays safe.. and we can't let them get married."

"She doesn't know this?" Jirou asked.

"Obviously not. She wouldn't marry him if she knew he was only using her." Kirishima sighed.

"We need to tell her." Bakugou got up and started walking to the door, but Kirishima stopped him.

"No, we cant." Kirishima told him, trying to sit him back down.

"Why the hell not? This is important!"

"You only want to tell her for your own selfishness." Momo scolded.

"I want to tell her so she's safe!" Bakugou argued. "I'm telling her!"

Suddenly the door opened, and you peaked your head in. "Hey, I was wondering where you all went. What's going on?" You smiled, opening the door more and walking in. Everyone looked nervous and Momo started to play with her hands nervously.

"Y/n, you should sit down." Kirishima smiled awkwardly, grabbing you by your shoulders and helping you to the couch.

"What's going on guys?"

"It's about Keigo." Momo sighed.

"Guys, I know. He wasn't cheating on me it was just a misunderstanding." You assured them.

"No, it's not that. It's also about Touya."

"Touya? What about Touya?"

There was silence for a moment.

"Does he like you?" Kirishima asked. Why he asked that, he doesn't know, it was just something to break the silence.

"I'm sure he does." You smiled.

"No, not like that. Does he like like you?"

"Oh- uh- I doubt it." You laughed nervously. "I think he just tries to take an interest because of Keigo."

"Y/n, I don't think you so marry Keigo." Momo said quickly.

"What? Why?" You looked at her confused. "I thought you liked him. And wanted me to marry him." You crossed your arms and looked at her strangely.

"Y/n-"

"Hey, there you are." Touya had welcomed himself into the room, and placed a hand on your shoulder. "Let's go walk around and find Keigo, yes? There's a lot of planning to do." He smiled.

"Yes, right." You nodded, and stood up. "You guys will talk to me later, yea?" With that, you left the room with Touya. Touya escorted you out, and looked back at everyone with a smirk.

A/n: I'm so sorry it's been so long and I know this chapter probably isn't up to the expectations! In reality, I've been really busy and been trying to focus on my mentality because that wasn't doing good for a while but it is doing better now so hopefully I'll be more active!
