33: Announcement

You met back with Momo, and helped her do some of the last decisions before Kirishima came and got you to meet the rest of your family down by the gates.

Kirishima and Momo followed you to the gates as your family arrived. Once they came out of the carriage, they proceeded with the usual 'I miss yous' and other family related things that you wished you all could have skipped. Your grandparents looked fine, and so did your aunts and uncles. Your cousins were seemed annoying as ever but figured that youd have to deal with them, as much ad you disliked them.

You started to walk into the palace, your family following right behind you. You heard them talking, all about 'your future husband'. With that reminder, You looked around and tried to find the bird brain of a fiancé.

"Where's Kei?" You looked at Kirishima. He shrugged as you all walked to the dining hall, and everyone taking their seats.

"Maybe you should go find him." Momo suggested. You nodded a bit and headed to where you saw Keigo last, the pathway to the courtyard.

You exited the garden and down the cement path, and saw Keigo sitting down on the cement bench with his head in his hands. "Keigo? What's wrong?"

His head instantly shot up, and smiled at you, his mood seeming to change. "Oh! Nothing my love. Just a bit of a headache." He shrugged it off, and scooted over a bit so you could sit down. You smiled and sat down next to him, and ran your fingers through the front of his hair.

"Are you okay hun? Do you need some medicine?"

"No, I'm alright." He smiled and leaned in, kissing the side of your head. "Its just a headache, I'm fine."

"Well, my family is here now. Wont you join us?" You stood up from the bench and extended your hand to him. He looked at your hand and then up to you with a smile. He took your hand and held it gently as he stood up from the bench.

"Y/n, you're so caring and incredibly sweet.. And your party is in a couple of days." He adverted his eyes away and started to sweat a bit. You giggled a bit, thinking he was going to repeat the conversation from earlier that day.

"Yes, it is. What about it?"

"I want to announce the engagement, and marry you right away."

"R-Right away? Jeez Kei, that wont leave anytime for planning, it would take at least a year to plan."

"Then lets elope." He grabbed both of your hands in his, and held them to his chest with a bright smile. "Not only will we get to be together sooner, but I make you mine sooner, and we unite kingdoms sooner. Y/n, its an amazing idea.."

"Elope? Keigo I- I dont want to do that. If we are going to get married, i want it done the right way."

"But I want to marry you fast." His faced changed a bit, going from happy to disappointed in a matter of seconds.

"Im sorry Kei, but I want a nice wedding, with everyone there."

"We can still have people there! And it will be quick and easy!"

"We can talk about it more once we announce the engagement in a couples." You smiled a bit, and kissed his cheek. "Now come on, my family wants to meet you."

You started to drag him out of the courtyard, and back into the garden and then the palace. Food was already being served and you could hear your parents bragging about Keigo. How good looking he was, how smart, and on and on about his wings. If you were going to worry it would be about your aunt, who was a crazy bird lady.

You walked into the dining hall, and everyone looked at you and Keigo. Everyone was there, your parents, your other family, your friends and Keigo's friends. You notice Dabi slowly look at you and Keigo, and cock his head up.

"There they are!" Your mom gushed. "Arent they such a cute couple?" You smiled a bit and held onto Keigo's arm, looking up at him. He looked down at you and smiled, his eyes full of love.

"Wow, you werent kidding, he is gorgeous." One of your aunt's said. Not the crazy bird one, but the younger, cool one. She was the younger sister on your dad's side, and you preferred her out of all your family.

"Now now, leave him be." Your dad chuckled a bit. "Im glad you two could join us."

"Thank you. Good evening everyone." He bowed his head to everyone, giving everyone a bright smile. You smiled up at him without him noticing, just admiring him.

"Why dont you both sit?" Dabi broke the bit of silence. Keigo looked at him displeased and nodded, sitting down next to him and guiding you to sit in the chair next to him. It wasnt your usual seat, but you wanted to be close to him anyways, so you werent complaining.

"Youre wings are quite beautiful, Mr. Takami." Your crazy bird aunt drooled over him a bit. "Tell me, do you resemble a cardinal?" You held in a laugh, and covered your mouth with your hand. "Your eyes kind of have those markings of them!"

That comment made Keigo somewhat uncomfortable, and decided to just ignore it, as your grandparents started to ask a bunch of questions.

"Why do you wear eyeliner?"

"Do you and Y/n plan on having kids?"

"Whens the wedding?"

All of it was just kind of at once, and made your head spina bit. Not to mention Keigo's headache, that may or may not have been fake, probably getting worse from everyone talking over each other. Everyone then started to talk about the engagement, and as they did Dabi looked over at him, giving him a death glare. Keigo gave him one back, and stood up, clearing his throat to catch everyone's attention.

"One, I am a hawk, not a cardinal. I wear eyeliner because it makes me look cool." Keigo started out.

"Yeah it does..." One of your cousins said under her breath. You looked at her like she was crazy, as Keigo ignored her.

"I would eventually like to have kids, but that is entirely up to her. And I would like to have the wedding soon. As for the engagement, consider this the official announcement."

Your family started cheering and clapping, and you looked up at him crazy. "Are you insane..?" You gritted your teeth a bit as he sat down.

"You want to marry me, I want to marry you. And that was the only way to get them to shut up."

You sighed and nodded as you started to eat your food. Sora started to have a conversation with you, excited you were getting married and hoping for some advice with Hiro. Meanwhile, Keigo was talking to Dabi.

"There, happy?" Keigo glared at him.

"Not until its official." Dabi rolled his eyes.

"Did you not just hear me? I just said it was."

"Its not until your married."

"Shut your crispy ass up. Youre expecting changes over night. It wont happen that soon."
