Mindlessly swinging his dirty uniform over his sweat ridden shoulder, Dream is more than happy for football practice to be over. Not only is the intense conditioning hard on him, but the unbearable Florida heat makes it that much worse.

"Hey, wait up!" A loud voice sounds from behind him, prompting Dream to stop in his tracks and turn around, facing his childhood best friend.

"Sapnap, what do you want?" Dream whines, flinging his keys in a circular motion and slowly making his way out of the locker room.

Sapnap pouts at his friend's distant behavior. He can tell Dream is more than tired after practice. "I wanted to get food or something with you. The game is this week and I can tell you're stressed. Let's get burgers or something."

Dream wants to decline, but can't find it in himself to argue with his best friend right now. He's tired and hungry. "Alright, whatever. I have to take you home anyways."

Sapnap shrugs with a mischievous grin on his face, hitting his friend's shoulder playfully. Ever since Sapnap got caught having a party at his house when his parents were away, his car was taken and he got grounded. Not like that stopped him anyway, though, he still throws parties whenever his parents are gone.

The two are walking around the large school grounds until they come across cheerleading practice. Sapnap stops in his tracks and ogles at the cheerleaders.

"Sapnap, what the hell? You creep," Dream jokes, trying to pull his friend away until he notices a small figure with short, dark brown hair doing some sort of gymnastics trick.

The person is in a skirt and practice jersey, and once they're done with the trick, turns to face the coach. Dream can see their now, noticing he is a guy, and an attractive one at that. This was a surprising sight to see, as there had never been a male cheerleader on the team. Dream stands in awe at the sight, barely noticing the boy staring back at him. The boy offers a light smile and turns his attention away again, leaving Dream speechless again.

"Who is that?" Dream nudges Sapnap, who is now staring down at his phone, texting someone.

"Who?" Sapnap looks back to the cheerleaders, following Dream's gaze towards the short male. "Oh, I think that's the new transfer student. I heard he's been online so far this year and just practices with the team. I wonder if he's coming to school in person now."

Sapnap shrugs and turns away, getting ready to go out to eat with Dream. Dream follows but can't get the male cheerleader out of his head. "What's his name?"

Sapnap looks over and raises an eyebrow at his friend, breaking out into a grin. "Why? Does someone have a crush? Didn't think that was your type."

Dream furrows his brows and puts his head in his hands. "No, I'm just curious, I've never seen a male cheerleader before."

"Mhm, right," Sapnap giggles, not believing his friend but not pushing anymore. "I believe his name is George. I heard from Karl that he's the captain."

The captain? That's surprising to Dream. Most of the student body is narrow minded and lack individuality, so it surprises Dream for the cheerleading team to actually let in a male member, and even more so make him the captain.

"Coming, loverboy?" Sapnap teases, walking ahead of Dream. This snaps him out of his train of thought, and he follows his best friend out to the parking lot.

Eyes trailing towards his red Jeep, Dream steps inside and starts it, immediately turning on the AC. He sighs in relief as the cool air hits him. Even though he's still hot, the small gust of air seems to cool his thoughts and heavy head, allowing him to calm down after the intense practice.
