Before the game, George and Wilbur stumble into each other at school. They're both chilling around campus as George had never left. He has to be at cheer practice in an hour anyways, then the game is right after.

The two of them decide to spend their time at the same pavilion they had been at a couple days prior.

"Does the cheer team have anything planned for the game?" Wilbur asks, the two of them watching the baseball team practice from afar.

"Yeah, we're putting on a halftime show. The uniforms we have are absolutely gorgeous, I styled them," George smiles, proud of himself. For the homecoming game, halftime is extended to forty minutes long, giving both teams' cheer squads, as well as marching bands, enough time to perform. It also gives the football teams enough of a break, as this is their team's biggest rival.

"Can I see?" Wilbur says excitedly, seemingly happy for his friend.

"It's a surprise, you need to see it under the football stadium lights or you don't get the full effect," George grins secretively. "Oh yeah, Tubbo helped me with the design. We called on Discord and designed it until we fell asleep."

"I'm glad Tubbo could be of help, he seems to really look up to you," Wilbur smiles.

"Well that's not a lot of pressure at all," George says sarcastically, wondering exactly why the younger male would look up to someone like him.

"Well he just thinks you're inspiring, that's all. I'm not sure if he wants to be a cheerleader himself or what his deal is, but it's amazing to see him look up to someone. You're a great role model George, you should know this," Wilbur tries to reason with his friend and help him realize his importance.

"Wilbur, I don't need your pity. Tubbo shouldn't use me as his role model. Have you seen me? I drink my problems away and can't even stand up to my own father. I'm a mess," George laughs at his worthlessness, suddenly feeling a sense of sadness overtake him. There's a lot that Wilbur knows about him, but the taller male doesn't know about his mother. Her real cause of death, that is, and the fact that George blames himself for it daily.

"You're not a mess George, you're just scared, and you have a reason to be. You're an amazing person, don't beat yourself up over anything too much," Wilbur tries to comfort George, but the smaller Brit can't help but think he's just pitying him. He thinks that by talking about his problems he's annoying Wilbur, so he decides to change the topic.

"I think I like Dream," George says suddenly before he can stop himself. Well that's one way to change the subject.

"Really?" Wilbur doesn't sound surprised, just excited. "You've finally realized this?" George nods hesitantly. "What made you come to this realization? And did you tell him? Oh my god are you two dating?"

"Okay well first of all, no I haven't told him and we are not dating," George says as Wilbur offers an annoyed expression at this. George continues regardless. "I think I realized after we hooked up the other day."

"After you what?!" Wilbur's shocked expression shows everything, and George instantly regrets telling him. "How did this happen?"

"I don't know," George shrugs and puts his hands over his face. "We were both drunk at his party and our desires kind of just overpowered, I guess? I don't know, Dream had mentioned it only happening because we were drunk, so I don't think he feels the same way."

"You don't know that," Wilbur says with furrowed brows. "Does he have a date to homecoming?"

"Yeah, we're going together."
