The next morning George wakes up first, looking down at the sleeping blonde beside him. He looks so peaceful, and George feels so guilty. He feels bad for yelling at Dream and assuming the worst when he saw him. He just hopes he's okay.
As much as George wants to get up and fetch some medicine and water for Dream, he wants to stay by his side until the blonde wakes up. He doesn't want him to feel alone for even a second.
George hugs his arms around Dream until he begins to slowly wake up. He seems to be less paranoid now and not as on edge. Dream opens his eyes and smiles as soon as he sees George. He squeezes him into a hug and buries his head into the brunette's neck.
Dream stays silent while hugging George and resting his head in the crook of his neck.
"Good morning," George whispers. "How are you feeling?"
"Better," Dream mutters, his voice uneven and shaky.
Moments pass with neither of them talking, only holding onto each other until George hears quiet sobs coming from the blonde. He looks and notices the collar of his shirt damp with water and sees Dream shaking. George's eyes widen and he slowly cups Dream's face, making him look up at him.
"Dream, hey, you're alright," George says calmly, looking into Dream's tear filled eyes. "You're okay, what's wrong?"
"I-I," Dream says, but words fail him as he starts to sob again, burying his face into George's shirt. George rubs the exposed skin on Dream's back and plants light kisses on his head.
"You're alright, Dream, look at me," George says quietly as to not hurt the blonde's head. He cups his cheeks again and Dream looks up at him. "Talk to me, baby, what's wrong?"
Dream seems to just cry more at the pet name, this time not looking away. He lets George wipe his tears and kiss his cheeks until he's ready to talk.
"I failed you," Dream says quietly in between cries.
"What do you mean?" George asks patiently, running his hand through Dream's hair softly.
"Mia, she kissed me. And I-I couldn't do anything about it," Dream says. "I failed you, I-I basically cheated and let her touch me. I don't deserve you."
"Hey hey, shh," George tries to calm Dream as he cries even more now. "You didn't fail me, what happened exactly? I know you wouldn't let her kiss you."
Dream wipes his eyes and calms down slightly as he looks at his boyfriend. "I left my drink unattended for a moment and when I got back, i-it tasted all bitter and I knew something was wrong. I was dizzy and my head hurt, I figured I got drugged. But then Mia was telling me that she'd 'show me a good time' and when I said I needed to find you she just held me down and," Dream stops as he lets out another sob, burying his head in his hands.
George stays silent for a moment, taking in all of the new information. He rubs Dream's back soothingly as he thinks of something to say.
"I don't deserve you George, I couldn't even stop her," Dream says shakily, trying to move away from George's touch. The brunette only pulls him closer to himself in a tight hug.
"Don't say that, Dream, you were taken advantage of. You were in a bad situation, but now you're okay. You're safe now," George tries to reassure Dream as he plants kisses on his head and ear.
"I feel disgusting," Dream says quietly, having stopped crying now.
"You're not disgusting, look at me," George says, watching as Dream removes his hand from his face and looks up at him. "You're beautiful and strong, you are not disgusting, or pathetic, or anything of the sort. You're alright now, I won't let anybody hurt you."
