tw// mention of abuse, eating disorder, and self harm

The next day after school Dream picks up George and they decide to meet up with Wilbur at his house.

Wilbur had decided to invite the two over to talk about the future with George's father. George isn't too excited to have the conversation, but it was bound to happen eventually.

"Hey guys, come inside and have a seat on the couch," Wilbur addresses them like a therapist, making his way into the kitchen to grab some mugs. In the mugs are hot chocolate for each of them, and he sets them down on the table.

"Why did you want to meet with us exactly?" George asks as if he doesn't already know.

"George, we need to talk about what we're going to do about your father. You're eighteen now, I'm not letting him off the hook like this," Wilbur says.

George looks over to Dream who just nods in agreement. "I agree, we need to report him to the police."

"Dream, I thought you would be on my side," George looks away with a hurt expression as he moves his arms and legs away from the blonde on the couch. He feels a panic attack coming on but he doesn't want to fuel it.

"George I'm trying to do what's best for you. We both are," Dream looks at Wilbur as he puts a hand over George's.

"I'm not reporting him to the police," George says quietly.

"Why not?" Wilbur asks, annoyed that he might get away with everything.

"I've already ruined his life enough. Besides, I'm safe now! I'm fine!" George chokes back the tears that threaten to escape him and bites his lip until it's bleeding ever so slightly.

"George please," Dream whispers, squeezing his hand. George looks up at him, thinking. "We'll take your pictures to the police and explain the situation. I'll be with you. Then they'll find him and lock him up, bringing you justice, okay?"

"But," George tries to find something to say in opposition, but no words escape his mouth. "Fine."

"Thank you," Dream whispers, kissing George's cheek. "You're so strong."

Wilbur smiles and motions for George to unlock and give him his phone. George does so and Wilbur looks through all of the pictures of George's bruises and cuts from his father. The brunette had documented them in hope of a situation like this happening, but he's never actually looked at the pictures.

Neither George nor Dream wanted to compile all of the images, so Wilbur volunteered. Now, as he looks through them, he winces and feels immense distress at seeing George in such a bad state.

Now, George looks much better, he feels much better. He's started eating more, and the bruises his father left have healed by now. Self harm scars taint his arms, but Dream makes it his goal to kiss each one of them every night and tell George he's so proud of him. He even refers to them as his battle scars, as cliche as that is.

George has stopped cutting and throwing up. Although sometimes he has urges, he never acts on them. Instead, he seeks comfort from Dream who always talks him out of these urges and distracts him. The two are stronger than ever, and are even grateful that they've likely been through the worst already.

Now, talking with Wilbur and Dream, George feels safe. He feels wanted, and protected. He knows that with these two he'll always be loved, especially with Dream. With Dream, he feels like he's finally found his home, and he loves it.

The rest of the week goes by boringly for George as Dream isn't there with him at school. Fundy ends up getting suspended as well after the principal got his side of the story.
